Why Kamala's 'Unburdened' Line Is Her Most RADICAL Statement | Guests: Alveda King & Kelly Shackelford | 8/2/24

Primary Topic

This episode critically analyzes Vice President Kamala Harris's statement about being "unburdened" by historical norms and expectations, particularly in the context of gender and sports regulations, suggesting a significant shift in societal values.

Episode Summary

In this episode of the Glenn Beck Program, the host and guests Alveda King and Kelly Shackelford delve into the implications of Kamala Harris's comment about being "unburdened" by past societal norms. The discussion primarily focuses on current issues around gender identity in sports, where biological males compete in female categories, raising concerns about fairness and safety in women's sports. The episode critiques the progressive agenda, asserting it often ignores scientific and biological realities under the guise of inclusivity and rights, potentially endangering women's sports and safety.

Main Takeaways

  1. The episode highlights the increasing acceptance and legal backing for transgender participation in women’s sports, which many conservatives see as ignoring biological differences that could compromise safety and fairness.
  2. It criticizes the Biden administration's approach to gender and sports, viewing it as part of a broader progressive attempt to reshape societal norms without sufficient regard for the consequences.
  3. The discussion points to a broader cultural shift towards what the hosts describe as a denial of biological reality, framed as a radical departure from established norms and scientific understanding.
  4. Concerns are raised about the implications for women's rights and protections, suggesting that advancements in gender equality could be undermined by the new policies.
  5. The episode underscores a deep political and cultural divide on issues of gender and identity, with significant disagreements about the path forward for policy and societal norms.

Episode Chapters

1. Introduction to the Issue

The hosts set the stage by discussing recent events where transgender athletes have competed in women’s sports, highlighting the controversy surrounding these instances. Glenn Beck: "This is about fairness in sports and protecting the integrity of women's competitions."

2. The Radical Implications of Being "Unburdened"

A deep dive into the statement made by Kamala Harris, interpreting its broader implications for society and traditional norms. Alveda King: "We are seeing a radical shift in how gender and society are being redefined by political leaders."

3. Legal and Cultural Battles

Discussion on the legal ramifications and cultural battles being fought over gender identity issues in the United States. Kelly Shackelford: "The legal landscape is quickly changing, often without adequate public discourse or understanding of the implications."

Actionable Advice

  1. Engage in informed discussions: Educate yourself on the issues at stake and participate in community and online forums to voice concerns.
  2. Support organizations that advocate for biological standards in sports: This can help maintain fairness and safety in women’s sports.
  3. Encourage open dialogue: Promote discussions in schools and communities to explore the implications of these policies in a respectful and informed manner.
  4. Monitor policy developments: Stay informed about local, state, and national policies that affect gender identity issues and participate in the public consultation processes.
  5. Vote: Participate in elections and support candidates who advocate for policies that align with your views on gender identity and sports.

Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glen Beck program.

Well, hello and welcome to Friday. It is the Glenn Beck program, and we. Well, I have some opinions I'd like to get off my chest. You know, not necessarily for the good of anybody else, but maybe my health, you know, let's make this show about me. Can we? I mean, jeez, we already have named it after me. Why not let it me all about me. We're gonna begin.

Oh, shall we begin on the tarmac with Kamala and Joe for her first unscripted ramblings yesterday? Or should we start with boxers being punched in the face? You know, we have that. Oh, there's a great, really creepy Joe Biden talking to a little girl about her birthday. And I just love you so much.

And, you know, when you start to date, how old are you now, 18?

Six. Oh, I love you, sir. Well, it's still going on.

We have a lot to discuss. And we begin in 60 seconds. Ten by four.

Fun. It's Friday.

And let me tell you about Patriot Mobile. You know, most people don't want other people to watch them fail. Yeah, no, it's not fun. Apparently the left is fine with that. They've failed our economy, our children, our social fabric. They don't mind that we're watching it all happen in real time.

One of these days we're going to be lucky enough to see a guy who claims to be a woman beat a woman to death. Oh, it's going to be great. I hope he gets the gold.

It's time to let them fail by themselves. I have better things to do with my time and my money, and you do too.

Be a part of the parallel economy. It's a, it's a product at a great service, great price. It is your mobile service from Patriot Mobile. You're going to get the whole month for free. Well, hello, stu. Welcome to Friday.

Speaker A
Welcome to Friday, Glenn.

Speaker B
Speaker one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So what is the thing that has been setting you off in the last 24 hours?

Speaker A
Why do you assume that there is something, I mean, maybe it's been a really relaxing day and everything's been fine.

Perhaps that's been my last 24 hours.

Speaker B
Somehow I doubt that.

Speaker A
Still, honestly, the thing that's been pissing me off more than anything is the basically male boxer beating the crap out of women in the ring. That's been kind of the thing that's been bothering me. I kind of think that that's weird a little bit. I think the idea of domestic violence for entertainment is kind of a strange thing. And I've been following the story relatively closely and, you know, now the left is trying to say, actually she's intersex or something like that. It really doesn't matter. Like, this doesn't have to be a statement about trans rights in America to be a problem. The problem is a giant person with all sorts of male characteristics and strength beyond almost any woman is punching women in the face. And I just, you know, and by the way, a person who's already failed a gender test in a major international competition. So that's enough for me to be a little upset.

Speaker B
Yeah. Yeah, I know you're a betting man. Let's just. I mean, let's just go with it. How long before we see a non binary person or a person that has switched genders, beat a woman to death, and the crowds cheer? How long? How long? When do we get that special?

Speaker A
Not long.

I mean, there was a story just the other day. It was two days ago. A 17 year old girl was playing volleyball against a trans person, and she's now, I think, paralyzed, which is.

Speaker B
Oh, yeah, here we go. She didn't die.

Speaker A
She's paralyzed with brain damage after a transgender opponent who cackled with delight after knocking her to the ground.

So that's our world.

Speaker B
Okay, well, doesn't count. Doesn't count.

Who feels bad for the athlete from Italy that got punched in the face?

Speaker A
I feel really bad for her, and it's a weird distinction in that I feel bad for her and her rise through her sporting life and all the work she's put in and how this was her dream and it's been ruined by nonsense.

Though I feel worse for her for being punched in the face by a man. That's actually the one I think is worse than even the sporting event stuff. So I'm all with you on the sporting event stuff. I think that's really bad.

Combat sports. It becomes a whole nother level of, I would argue, borderline criminality. You know, without knowing all the facts. I don't. I can't, I guess, put them immediately in prison. But I think anyone who sanctions this sort of nonsense should be considered for a small home inside a cell.

Speaker B
So I agree with all of that stuff. But I. A little bit of me says, hmm, uh, Miss italian police officer, I did feel really bad for you, and then you decided to walk off and go, but who am I to judge?

Honestly, who am I to judge? I don't know. I just didn't want to be hit in the face by him anymore.

Who are you to judge? I don't know.

An individual, a person, a woman.

If you don't stand up against this, it's never going to change. You can't let somebody else carry the water for you. You had a global stage.

Everybody saw you. Everybody was with you. And then you go, but I don't know.

I mean, maybe I'm just a bigot.

Maybe I'm just a hate monger. I don't think so.

But it could be. No, no, I'm a woman. When are we going to protect women? When are we going to protect girls in sports. When the whole world is. You know what? You know what this is? This is the world being unburdened by those things that have been.

You know what that means? Let me translate bull crap to English. This is what that means. Forget everything you thought was true, because we're changing everything tonight.

That's what that means. To be unburdened by those things that were.

Yeah.

No, thank you.

I know how to define a woman.

Genetics, you know, kind of. Kind of plays a role in life. I hate to bring this up, but science plays a role, and you can't.

You can't pass as a biological female. You don't play.

But. No, but we're being on. We're unburdening ourselves from things like that. Icky science. Only in this category, however, because science disagrees with us. So. Okay, well, it also does in global warming and a whole bunch of other stuff, but, like. Shh. Quiet, you hate monger.

Stand up.

Stand up.

Title ix is going in some states are letting your kids go to school in the next few weeks, and they're gonna be kicked in the face by some female soccer player. That's a dude.

Say it. Say it.

You know, it all stops having power when you're not afraid anymore. What do you have to lose?

What do you have to lose? I could lose my job. You want to lose your soul?

Well, I got to take care of my kids. Really? And how are they going to take care of them when we've unburdened ourself with what has been? When they don't know history, when they don't know math, they don't know how to read or write.

How are they going to survive? Dad, mom, they're not going to. If you don't stand up for them right now, they ain't going to.

Speaker A
You know. God, it's funny you say that. I've heard of Kamala Harris say that so many times, and basically, I've only considered it as something to mock and just the fact that she's got nothing to say and she's just repeating herself. But as you point that out, I mean, isn't that essentially exactly what Michelle Obama said all those years ago? It's the same.

Speaker B
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Yes.

Speaker A
Right. Like, it's, you know, hey, we got to erase our history. We have to erase our traditions. We have to move to a new.

Speaker B
Time, that we have to burden ourselves from the things that were.

That's exactly what she was saying.

Speaker A
Unburdened by what has been.

Speaker B
This is why you.

Yeah, you cannot just make Kamala Harris into a joke.

She means those things. And you. You don't see it that way. Cause you're like, oh, look at the poetry ladies back.

Speaker A
I mean, it's also fun to laugh at. I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna dismiss that part of it. But you're right, though. It's like, it's an interesting thing. If you.

If you're unburdened by what has been, such as knowledge, traditions, things that have actually worked for civilizations, man, you can make all sorts of crazy decisions. The constitution. You're not burdened by it anymore, really. I mean, I had never thought of it in act. I never thought about what she was actually saying. I was just laughing at her for saying seemingly nothing but. Right. There's a lot of meaning behind that.

Speaker B
Now, may I need your permission to do this, stu? Cause I never, ever do this. May I bring this to the Nazis?

Speaker A
You know, you usually are so hesitant to bring up any sort of tie to Nazi Germany that I feel it must be okay, because you just are so normally not going down that road.

Speaker B
Right.

Speaker A
You're so normally unburdened by the Nazis and what they have been.

Speaker B
Right.

What was it that the nazi scientists were trying to do?

Well, they were trying to create super people. Right? They wanted to change. Don't it make my brown eyes blue?

Well, injecting eyes with ink. Yeah. That makes your brown eyes blue until you die.

So what they did is they unburdened themselves of those things that had been like, hey, let's treat every child as sacred.

Hey, let's have empathy for people who are unlike us. Let's.

Let's unburden ourselves from this.

Let's just kill the people who have handicaps.

Okay? That was new scientific thinking. And when you unburdened yourself from all the things that you had learned, all of the things that the Lord had taught you forever, what makes. What makes Judeo Christians different than any other religion in the world? What is their main ethic?

Their main ethic is love God.

Love yourself and love your neighbor.

So let's unburden ourselves from God.

Let's unburden ourselves from the neighbor if they're different than us. But dig me, I love myself.

You can't unburden yourself from the other two.

They are changing history in real time. They are changing our. Our ethics in real time, because they've said overnight, how many times in the last 15 years did you wake up and there was, like, a new word you had to learn? You're like, what? What the hell is, what?

What is. What does that mean? I don't even know what that means. And, like, everybody was using it. It was almost like, oh, Kamala Harris. She's the worst. She can't get anybody. Her staff hates her. She's the greatest woman in the world.

We just saw it again. They just change overnight, like there's some secret telegraph going off someplace. Okay. Starting tomorrow, just to really freak Americans out. Americans out. We're just going to start calling Kamala a hero and a g and a genius.

Americans will know what hit them. They'll think they woke up in a, in a different world, a parallel universe where, like, you didn't yesterday. Everybody think she was an idiot.

They're never gonna figure it out. It's so funny.

Stand up for what you know is true.

You will not save your children.

If you cower now, it's only going to get harder.

To the police officer from Italy.

I feel bad for you. I feel bad because you probably worked your whole entire life to get to that moment, and then some dude comes in and punches you in the face.

Why are you throwing everything you have done in the past away?

Why are you throwing everything you know to be true away?

Stand up for yourself.

If you don't stand up for yourself, who are you expecting to do it for you?

Back in just a second.

Let me just tell you about our, our sponsor. It's rough greens. Angela wrote in about our dog's experience with rough greens. She says, I ordered rough greens a few weeks ago while I was listening to Glenn Beck on the blaze. If his dog loved it, I felt sure my dogs would. Parker loved it right away. I put it into his bowl and he lapped it up. Much to my surprise, Quinn was a bit more reluctant, didn't seem enthusiastic at first. But after a week, she gobbled it down. I've noticed a definite increase in energy in both of your dogs, Angela. You just keep watching. You're going to see. You're going to see your dogs have a new life. You really will.

This is not a dog food. This is a supplement developed by naturopathic doctor Dennis Black that you sprinkle on the dog's food. Brown food is dead food. You want the green stuff. Speaker A
Glenn, let me ask you real quick while we're on this topic, because I'm interested in your coverage here. I want to do an olympic medal ceremony.

You have a gold, a silver and a bronze to give away and you have to give it to the people in this story that piss you off the most.

Now, you just did a very long rant about the actual boxer who was punched in the face. And the people I would give as a potential medal winners are her, the person who was punched in the face, the person who punched her in the face, and the people who sanctioned the event that allowed him to punch her in the face. If you're doing a gold silver, Brahms as most pissed off, who you're giving it to.

Speaker B
In that order, reversed gold to the sanctioning people, to him and then her.

Speaker A
So gold.

Speaker B
You're leaving out the real gold.

Speaker A
Who's the real gold?

Speaker B
The real gold goes to everybody who's just sitting here quietly.

It really goes to this. None of this would have happened if they would have started this bull crap and we all would have went, no, let's follow science. I can define a woman, and you can, too. If we all would have stood up and we wouldn't have cowered or we wouldn't have been so afraid of being canceled or. I don't want to be unkind. You're not unkind.

When was the last time you beat up a transgender person? Okay. I don't know anybody who's done that. I don't know anybody who has done anything other than, look, the guy's in a dressed. Okay, dude, whatever. Okay? That's as hateful as I've ever heard in my lifetime.

But because transgendered people are being killed in the hundreds of thousands in your own neighborhood because of what you have never said before, you better not. You better tell. You better tell me. She's a good looking woman. Okay. She's a good. Say it. Say it. She's a good looking woman. No, I'm not going to.

But we all played this game.

Speaker A
Well, we all is way too broad for that. I am not accepting that responsibility. There wasn't one day that I or you or probably anybody in this audience played that game. Who played that game? The left played that game. The media played that game. The sport. These sports organizations played that game. You never played that game?

Speaker B
No. But did we? Did we all fight? And I. Nothing. I don't want to unburden us from what has been.

But I also don't want to lay too much blame in history because things happen. And you just. We were all confused. We were like, what the hell? This is not going to last.

This is not going to last. This is. This is craziness. This. What. What is this? Okay, so we just didn't act.

We would act differently now. If they unveiled this today, they'd act differently now. The. I think we would, um. You know, our pushback really started with drag queen story hour. When they started bringing it into our children, that's when people stood up and said, okay, all right, enough.

But there was enough of a foothold that they had started planting that that system was strong.

We. We play these games all the time. Look at. Look at. Look at who has been voted into office. You know, they say, ah, she wasn't a Dei hire. He said he was going to name a nominee for his vice president who was black.

That was his criteria. That's the definition of Dei hires. Speaker two. We can't have a black. We can't have a white woman here. Or a white man.

A one legged hermaphrodite. She is still white. No, we've got to have a black woman. Black woman. Do I hear black woman?

Enough. Enough is enough.

Enough is enough.

And the IOC, let me tell you something. If America had sense, if Donald Trump were in office, that woman wouldn't have been punched, because the United States, we still have enough clout when we decide to use it to say, uh, no, we're not playing that, uh, you let men punch women in the face. We're pulling all of our athletes, and it would have never happened. Glenn Beck.

Wow. That's me. I don't even know that guy who says that. But it's so cool. We're rapidly coming on the one year anniversary of the terrible October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and to this day, the holy land continues to be under attack on multiple fronts.

Not only are they still dealing with Hamas, but Hezbollah is constantly destroying critical farmland and people's homes with their rocket attacks. The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has been on the forefront of Israel since the beginning of the war, addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. That's why I've partnered with them. And you can, too. Your life saving donations are helping to provide emergency food as well as security needs. These are critical needs. Flak jackets, firefighting equipment, armored vehicles, bomb shelters. So much more. They're looking for 500 of my listeners to join them. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. We're glad you're here. Kelly Shackelford is with us. He's the president and CEO and chief counsel of First Liberty University, which is something that is well worth your time and your support. You can find them@firstliberty.org dot. But Kelly is here to talk to us. You know, Wednesday night, I did a special Wednesday night special on why Biden's final move is to destroy the Supreme Court. It is so transparent, and yet everything that they're saying they're protecting the republic from is exactly what they're doing and why they're changing the Supreme Court or trying to. Kelly, welcome to the program.

Speaker C
Hey, thanks, Glenn, for having me on.

Yeah, you frustrating, is it, right, by the way, on that transforming the Supreme Court into another partisan body would destroy the independence of the judiciary and we would all lose our civil liberties. And that's what they want. I mean, that's why this is coming out at this point. And it's people, I think, are not paying enough attention to it because they just think, oh, this won't happen. This is the number one goal of their base. If you ask them if they could get anything if they got back into office, what would it be they would say to get rid of this court? Because that's the only thing that has been standing in their way. And that's why this is being trotted out now because people will say, well, you can't do this stuff. They're asking you to do it. Take a constitutional amendment.

Well, yeah, they're not going to do it between now and the election, but this is the thing that excites their base. And guess what will happen if they winden? This is exactly what will happen to them. They'll have the power to do these things.

Speaker B
So, Kelly, I talk to people all the time and they're like, yeah, but you know what? They're just empowering Donald Trump. This court has just laid waste to any restrictions on the president when in my opinion, and I'd love to hear your analysis of this, that is the exact opposite of what the Supreme Court has been doing. They are trying to reduce the power of the president. True or false?

Speaker C
Yeah. Well, look, on that point, they're all upset on the presidential immunity decision.

I mean, really, what, they're trying to destroy the court because they don't like just a couple of decisions that they're really upset about. Like, that's a great reason to go back and change the constitution on areas that have not been changed since the beginning of our country. Right, but take the immunity thing. Yeah. Does the immunity decision give some protections to the president? Yes, it does, but you have to have some protections. If not, then let's get some das in conservative counties across the country to start bringing criminal charges against Biden for negligent homicide for the 13 soldiers who died in Afghanistan because of negligence. Or let's go after Obama for bombing innocent people, which would be negligent homicide. I mean, you can see you've got to have some immunity for the president in his official duties, or else you could, you know, you could criminalize everything.

But it can't be absolute. Or then the president can do what they want. And that's exactly what the court laid out. They laid out. But I think most scholars had always agreed, you can't start having local Das bring criminal charges. We've seen with Trump the kind of crazy stuff that was going on in New York.

Speaker B
Right.

Speaker C
And it would just, it would just lay waste to our country if we allowed that. So, I mean, what the court did was, I think if it wasn't Donald Trump, I think you wouldn't have this sort of outrage.

But I tell you that just that alone, you know, that's one of the constitutional amendments. They're going to change the constitution.

And I'll tell you what's really scary, though, and this is what people don't pay attention to, Glenn, is what they can do with just a majority vote.

If Kamala were to win and they were to have the House and the Senate, which if she were to win, they very well might have all three. All it takes is a majority vote to pack the court.

Add four justices, five justices, ten justices, however many they want. This is exactly what the base wants take. Kamala was asked, are you open to court packing? She said, absolutely open.

Her director of communications for the last year has been a guy by the name of Brian Fallon. Brian Fallon is the head of demand justice, the most radical pro court packing group in the country. So this is where they're going. And this could happen as easy as a majority vote if they get power of all three branches. And I think this is what they want because the constitutional amendments are way too hard to get through. So they're going to be pushing through court packing, and then they can, people will think they have rights at that point. They won't. Your rights will be gone because whatever right you think you have, they can just add justices until they get enough to take that away.

Speaker B
This is the last thing, Venezuela.

Yeah. This is the last thing a dictator does before he takes complete control.

The other thing. So they were mad about Donald Trump and the immunity thing, but then they stretched it into, and just clear this up.

They stretched it into, he could murder people. He could just, he could say to the, and I love this example from joy Reid because it's exactly what Biden did. He could just tell the NSA, hey, we think he's, he's a spy. And so they would just come up with all kinds of stuff to make him look guilty. And then when he went to another country, he could have him assassinated. Okay.

Speaker C
Yeah, just ridiculous.

Speaker B
Can they do that? Ridiculous. Why? Why is that ridiculous legally?

Speaker C
Speaker one because what, what the court said was that in, in the core constitutionally required duties of the president, that, that, you know, that they're protected. So, you know, if they send people into war or if the type of things that are in the constitution, the idea that is there some sort of official duty of the president to murder their opponents is ridiculous.

I mean, and it just shows how silly they're going to be. Now, this is the first case, so there's going to be more cases. We haven't had this before because we've never had parties trying to criminalize politics and trying to make, you know, bring criminal suits against people that are baseless to try to attack people and for political reasons. This is a new, you know, really low in our country. When you criminalize politics, you're getting very dangerous as far as where your country's going. And so, but I tell you, we've got Glenn stuff on. I mean, a lot of people don't understand kind of the history of this. They started on this as soon as Biden came into office. They had a commission to, quote, reform our Supreme Court, and they have been pushing lots of money. Just last week, the Washington Post announced a 30, a new $30 million gift coming from one of their donors that is going to try to get this over the line. And if people want info, I mean, obviously they can always go to firstliberty.org and they can get there. But there's also a special site we set up just for the court packing and the attempts to really transform the supreme court into a political biology. It's called supreme coup.com. and it has all the data. It has memes you can send out to kind of educate your friends. Just, this is something we've got to talk about or we need to kill this. Like, right now, 67% to 70% of the country doesn't want any of this stuff if you ask them. Right. But most of the Democrats do because they, they don't like the court.

You know, the Dobbs decision. They don't like the immunity decision, and they're willing to destroy the court over this. But if we educate people, even on the democratic side, and they understand what this will do, the history of Venezuela and these other countries and how you lose your country when you do this, we can move them, we moved them in the polling in a couple of years in the campaign when they first tried to push this through. We have got to talk about this in the elections. We've got to force the candidates to answer this question.

This is our treasure. This is our rule of law, our freedoms.

Again, what they're pushing right now is their number one core thing that they really want in the base. And this is why Biden's bringing it out in the speech this week. The proposals, Kamala saying she agrees is because they want their base excited. And if they win, they're going to follow through on that. And again, it just takes a majority vote to pack the court. And once you do that, you're done as a country.

Speaker B
Okay. So, Kelly, one last thing. I said at the beginning that they are trying to, the Supreme Court has been signaling with their recent decisions that they are trying to cut back the power of the administration. So, I mean, I always say to people, if you're afraid of the next president, you know, the constitution is out of balance because the president should not have any power to come after you or be an obstacle or, or, you know, or an enemy in your own life. If you're afraid of Biden or Trump, it's because the constitution is out of whack and they have been trying to cut back this, this bureaucratic state.

And that's the other thing that bothers them so much, because they can't just rule by dictate.

Speaker C
Speaker two no, you're right. I mean, what you're saying is true. It's exact opposite of what they're saying. Right? If they, yes, if they subjugate the, the court to a political body, in other words, they can control, they can just put justices on, they can change all these things. They can have, quote, ethics rules where they control the court through that. The only protection of the people against, let's say, a party has the executive branch and the legislative branch. The only protection is the judiciary. But if it's gone, you're now, you're now into tyranny. And this is why in 1936 and 37, when FDR tried this, and even though the Democrats had 80 of the Senate seats, I mean, they had overwhelming control.

The country was averaging 1200 letters a day into the Senate saying, this is tyranny. How dare you? And they could not only could they not get it through, the Senate sponsor in the Senate died of a heart attack. And in the next election, they lost massive numbers of seats. Because America understood if you subjugate the judiciary underneath the legislature and executive branch, you're in danger. I mean, you've lost your republic, your constitutional republic, and they're so bloodthirsty over these decisions. They don't like that they're willing to do that.

The only thing they don't control is the court. And it would do exactly the opposite of what they're saying. It would give the executive massive power and the legislature to do what they wish.

Speaker B
I think if we had an honest press, that would point out, I mean, I've, I mean, they've been bold with their lives before. They've been very, very bold.

But to describe what they're fighting against and having it exactly what they're fighting for is astonishing. And without a, a real free press that is protecting the people and looking out for their interests instead of a party's interest, I'm not sure you'd get those letters to Congress or those emails to Congress now. Uh, because we are uneducated on our own system of government, and half the country just swallows these unbelievable lies.

Speaker C
Yes, it was unbelievable. I mean, I'll tell you an example of that. You're right.

I was on C SPAN yesterday to talk about this, and the calls coming in were just unbelievable. One of the callers called in and said, well, the reason we should get rid of the Supreme Court is because they allowed Trump to stay on the ballot. And I said, the last time we took somebody off the ballot in this country was Abraham Lincoln taken off of eleven ballots right before the civil war. I said, you're complaining of a decision by our current Supreme Court that was 90, and yet that is the justification for us to get rid of the United States Supreme Court and our constitutional freedoms in the process.

People are not talking about this. They look at this as like a political move by Biden between now and the election. But the reason it is their main political move is because if they win, this is what their base wants. And we've got to educate people. We've got to force people out. Kamala needs to be asked, you know, and Trump, and he'll answer it, I think, the right way. But Kama needs to be asked, are you in favor in court packing? She can't answer that question because if she does, she'll, she'll scare the country if she says yes. And if she says no, the base will be furious because that's what they're planning to do.

Speaker B
Kelly Shackelford, President, CEO, chief counsel of First Liberty Institute these guys have been on the front line. A lot of the good changes that have come in the last few years, I believe first liberty has led the way. Firstliberty.org what is it? Is it court coup?

Speaker C
Did you say supreme coup.com?

Speaker B
Supreme coup. Supreme coup. Yep. Doc, by the way, not all of.

Speaker C
Us are french favorites.

Speaker B
May I just say, may I just say, you should spell it c o o as well. Just, you know, just for the people who don't know, you know. All right. Thank you so much, Kelly. Appreciate it.

Speaker C
Thanks, Gwen.

Speaker B
You bet. Bye bye.

Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.

We're just all during the break here. We were just all talking about our proud papa moments. Proud momma moments.

Yesterday I got a video from my wife. She's in a recording studio in Los Angeles with Cheyenne, who was laying down the vocal tracks for the Christmas thing.

She's doing a Christmas album. And so she's. She was lame down. Let me just play a little bit. I was blown away. Listen to this.

Merry Christmas, y'all. I mean, I can't believe that's my little girl.

Speaker A
It's hard to believe that you had anything to do with that. That's amazing.

Speaker B
I don't think I. We've never tested, so it might not be my child. Okay.

Speaker A
It's incredible.

Speaker B
She sounds fantastic.

Yeah, this album is gonna be. It's all traditional, you know, like, could been recorded in 19, you know, 40 or 1950 kind of music for Christmas. It'll be coming out. Be coming out soon.

All right, gang, it is Friday.

We start to peel another layer off this onion. Next, Burna, if you're man enough. Yeah, Burna.

It's an extension of your manhood.

Look, Berna, here's what a Burna launcher is. It is a non lethal weapon. Um, it launches kinetic grounds to about 60ft. Um, and it also launches tear gas. Not pepper spray, tear gas. It will, uh, it'll knock somebody down on the ground and keep them there for about 40 minutes. If you have to shoot to kill, well, then get a gun.

But if you're man enough, burn. Uh, if you're man enough.

Oh, I think a man with a Burna launcher is so sexy. Now, see, see, now, don't you want to buy one? Berna launchers Berna byrna.com Glenn for an exclusive 10% discount. Everybody in my family has one of these. It's bernaby.com glenn.

If you're man enough, you'll listen to the next.

Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beckley program.

Hello, America. I've got a few things to say. We're gonna get right to it in 60 seconds. First, from porch pirates to the folks who are just willing to break into your house, the criminal class is full of people who'd love nothing more than just take your stuff. I deserve it. You don't deserve it. You only worked for it. I had to steal it. Sometimes it can put you and your family in danger. There's a Ydezenhen break in in this country every 27 seconds, and that's not acceptable. That's why you need something like simplisafe. Simplisafe is fantastic. It's an advanced home security 24/7 monitoring and that it's less than a dollar a day. They give you their liveguard protection. They can act on an alarm within 5 seconds, even tell the intruder, hey, fatso, in the window.

Police are on their way. You might want to try to, you know, dislodge yourself from the window and run the other direction. Simplisafe. I'm sure that's probably not what they say. They're probably a little more professional, but that's what I would have said. Simplisafe has given so many people in this audience a peace of mind. Get now 20% off any new Simplisafe system. When you sign up for the fast protect monitoring, just visit simplisafe.com beck. That's simplisafe.com slash beck. There's no safe, like simply safe.

All right, so let's get into some sound here that we, we just want to, we just want to cover here just a little bit. Let's start with Corinne Jean Pierre about the plea deal on 911 that everybody is so happy about. Let's let those people not get the death penalty. What do they do? They only killed 3000 people.

Here's Karine Jean Pierre and does he have a message to some of the 911 families who wanted to see a full trial, who wanted to see this kind of come to a fuller process?

Speaker D
So look, this is basically what Jake said. This is something that we had no involvement in, he didn't have any involvement in.

And so the White House played no role in this process and the president directed his, his team to consult as appropriate with officials and lawyers and Department of Defense, obviously. And, you know, we have said this before.

You know, we are, you know, our hearts go out to the families who lost the loved ones on that, on that day.

And, you know, the president of 911 has honored them every year and the families who, again, who lost their loved one on that terrible day.

Speaker B
Okay. All right. Well, I feel like, I feel like they've got things under control there at the White House now. Joe Biden is, is there on the tarmac waiting for the american citizens imprisoned in Russia.

And, and Biden is there and he spots a cute little girl. Oh, God. Cut to.

You all know we have a tradition in the Biden family. We sing happy birthday on any birthday. Ready? All of you. Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Mary.

Happy birthday to you. Remember, no serious guidelines. Dating advice.

Yeah.

She's also his daughter. I love you.

Oh, isn't that great? Hugging her, giving her a little kiss, keeping her close, you know what I mean? Hey, don't. No serious dating until you're 30. I'm not interested after 30.

So we had that going on. Now, in this. This hostage release, what was really nice was Joe Biden said, you know, Donald Trump couldn't have gotten this deal done. He wouldn't. He wouldn't have done this. You know, I got Putin on the horn, and we made a deal. Well, let's talk about that here for a second. There's a couple of things that are wrong with that.

First of all, why do you think Putin got on the phone with you right at election time?

Do you think he's for Donald Trump, or is he for you being president?

So he's making a deal which makes you look good. What does that tell you?

Does that tell you that Putin is afraid of you? No, he's doing pr for you. He wants the Biden administration, not the Trump administration.

Hello, ding dong.

Also, you did make a deal, and it was lousy for us. Why is it they got more than we got? Well, why?

Because you're desperate. You're desperate. That's why. And he knows that, and he wants to play into the political narrative here in America.

Oh, okay. So now when.

When he's on the tarmac, Kamala has her first unscripted moment in the last couple of weeks.

They.

They. They're talking to her and Biden, and he's just standing there like, I have no idea what she's saying.

And they say, you know what? Any comments on what's about to happen? And here's what Kamala says. 21, please.

This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy and strengthening alliances. This is an incredible day.

Speaker A
What did she just say?

Speaker B
It's whatever, circular.

Oh, my God.

Speaker A
By the way, Glenn, that is, I believe, officially the first question she's been asked.

I may have missed something. I know RuPaul asked her a couple questions, so I'm not counting those, but I'm saying from a reporter, and I believe it was, how do you feel about this amazing thing that happened?

But she. That's, I believe, the first question she's been asked, and it was the easiest question imaginable, basically, compliment yourself. And she still. She still blew it.

We got to get her. You just got to get her on. You got to get her in front of these cameras. Just as soon as people see this, this little boomlet goes away.

Speaker B
Speaker one I tell you, I have a real problem with you, Stu. Cause you're so racist. She's still reeling from President Trump saying, I thought she was an Indiana. And everybody, everybody in the press, and they know what they're doing. They're. They are. They are taking and twisting his words. He's not saying she wasn't black. He was making a comment of, wait. But she never called herself black until this point in the election. And then when she needed the black vote, she said, oh, I'm black. Here she is. Kamala Harris, 2019. Cut 22.

Okay. Is an indian recipe. Yes. Because you are idiot. Yes. Okay. And I don't know that everybody knows that, but I find that wherever I go and I see indian people at the supermarket, on the street, everyone's like, you know Kamala Harris is indian, right? It's like our thing. We're so excited about to have you running for president. Yeah. So we're both Indians, but actually we're both south Indian. Yes. You look like.

Speaker A
Wait, hold on. Can we. We need to stop and address one thing here.

What Mindy Kaling just said has never occurred.

Never, ever. One time in her life did this incredibly famous person, who was on one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, have someone walk up to her and say, did you know Kamala Harris was indian? That story never, ever, ever occurred. That is complete nonsense.

I just want to at least get that on the record.

Speaker B
Okay.

Next, here's Kamala Harris in 2020. She's not black. She's indian. Listen, today, on August 15, 2020, I stand before you as the first candidate for vice president of the United States of south asian descent.

Okay? Now, nobody's. Nobody is not. Nobody is saying she's not black.

Okay? Yes, she's black. She's indian. She's half black. She's half indian. We know. We know how science works. You're the ones confused about what's a woman.

So we got it.

Her dad was black. Her mom was indian.

Even Don Lemon, when she started saying that she was black, he was starting to be offended. Cause he's like, you know, she's calling herself african american. Listen, this is Don Lemon, black woman. Okay? That's why I agree with that. I agree with that. But is she african american? No, but is she african american? There's a difference. There's nothing wrong with that. No one is trying to take anything away from her lineage. I think you're falling. I think you're falling into a trap of that. All she had to do was black. Remember how much trouble he got in for that. She's not african american. No, she's not. She's jamaican indian.

And there's nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with that, except she uses it to play on constituents. That's the only thing Donald Trump was saying. He's not questioning who she is. We all know who she is now.

But she said she was indian when she was needing the indian vote, and then she's black when she needs the black vote. She's both.

Speaker A
Yeah, and, but the way.

Speaker B
Please.

Speaker A
It's so bad the way he actually said it was. And, you know, she turned black a couple years ago. And, like, they are so dishonest that they're acting as if they think he thought she just turned black, like a literal statement. Now they know exactly what they're doing. But it's amazing as well. This is coming from the same people who say you can change races based on just saying it.

Speaker B
Right. Like, I know they should be.

Speaker A
This is like the Rachel Dolezal thing. If it was literal, they would be supporting it.

Speaker B
Right.

Speaker A
If she just was indian her life and just said she was black, they would then say she's now black. But because Donald Trump made the point in a critical way, all of a sudden, that's not possible. It's racist to even suggest.

Speaker B
I know, I know. So I would like to suggest that she's not only jamaican indian black, but she's also southern because, you know, she was raised in Berkeley.

That's southern California, isn't it? Which explains her speech this week with a southern accent. 26.

And you all helped us win in 2020, and we don't do it again in 2024.

Hillary all over again. That is. That is southern California. I mean, she is. She's all over it. All over it. You know, I don't know if you heard Michael Malus this week, but I love Michael Malice and what he said on Joe Rogan this week about Kamala Harris. Listen, if you're going after Officer Harris, you're either racist or sexist or ableist. Right? So they will use ableist.

Speaker C
Yeah.

Speaker B
Cause she's a retard.

She's literally retarded. I mean, Ukraine is a country in Europe, and Russia is another country and a powerful country. And Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine, and that's wrong. What's really important is what can be unburdened by what has been. I think of her as America's wine mom because seems like she's three deep by noon and she's got the three phases of wine mom. She's got happy drunk. Oh, my God, this cereal's got a rabbit on it. It's so great. Cackling, cackling, cackling. Then there is trying to drunk at work where you're trying to make sense, but you don't. Space is around us all and unites us all and inspires us all. And then there's. I'm being stern, so you don't realize how plastered I am. And I'm making a point. Doctor. Little girl was me. Now I'm gonna go upstairs and don't knock on the door because I'm gonna pass out. So those are her three ways she talks, and those are the wine mom phases. Ukraine is a country. In Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So basically, that's wrong.

Speaker one. Can I tell you something, though? When I listen to that, I just think this is so vapid. But then I think, how many Americans need it broken down that way?

Speaker one.

Speaker A
Certainly her voters do.

Speaker B
Yeah. Yeah.

It was a, it's a bigger country.

And so then that's wrong.

Speaker one. Oh, okay. Thank you, Mamala.

I appreciate that. Now I understand big things. Big countries shouldn't go into little countries. Can little countries go into big countries? Would that be wrong?

I mean, it is. It's just, it's amazing.

Speaker A
Do we know, Glenn, how many various ceilings she would be busting through with this? Because we know we'd have the first black woman.

We would have the first woman.

We would have the first Indian.

We would have the first south Asian.

We would also have the first Asian. And this one in particularly is bothersome because at some point, like, I don't know, maybe it's 20 somewhere in the 20 years from now, some great grandson or granddaughter of a person, a japanese American who was put into internment camps by the, the president that every Democrat thinks is the best president of all time is going to rise to power and maybe be elected president, and they're going to be like, actually, you're the second asian president. Sorry.

Kamala won back in 2024, God forbid, and he's sorry. You don't count. You didn't break any ceilings. You're a giant zilch. You get no recognition. Sorry about that. Good night. I mean, that's sad.

Speaker B
It's. Did you hear the, the flashback of Gerald Ford from 1978 or 79 where he was asked, he was running against Ronald Reagan at the time, and they're in the primaries and he's asked by this little girl, you know, I'm eight years old and I want to see someday a female president. What is it going to take? What advice would you give an eight year old girl? Or, he wants to be president.

Okay.

So he says, well, I'll tell you, we'll have a female president.

It is inevitable in the future. But let me tell you how it's going to come.

This is 1978 or 79. Let me tell you how it's going to come.

Either the Democrats or the Republicans are eventually going to nominate a woman to be the vice president, and the vice president will be serving in that administration until the president dies or bows out, and that's how she'll become president. That will be your first president.

Speaker A
Really? I have not heard that. That's an incredible, isn't that crazy, bizarre moment. I mean, why would he, I mean, was he just so convinced Americans hated women or was hedgest convinced they were sexist or what was the reasoning for that?

Speaker B
I don't know. I would imagine that it would, he didn't think that kind of change could be made, really, like I for a president again.

Speaker A
And this is society, so it's a different era. I, you know, I understand, but I don't know.

Speaker B
Run by white men keeping women down.

Speaker A
That's a fascinating quote.

Speaker B
Yeah, it's, it's, it's fascinating. All right. More in just a second. Let me tell you about our sponsor.

And, yeah, you know, I said, yeah, I've been saying I don't care if it's New York Times bestseller, but I think some people in the audience might care.

You know, it's. It was on the bestseller list, and the only reason why it matters to me is because that's what gets into the airports. If it's on the bestseller list, then it goes into the airports and goes into stores, and then they have to put it up front and everything else. But I think what's. What's happening is, I think some people are trying to send a message to the rest of. Well, the rest of the world. We. We would like good stories. We would like stories of good people. You know, let me tell you, this is a story of. Of two kids. Revolves around two kids, different families, different backgrounds. Um.

Gosh, I'm trying to think. I think that's all I can tell you about them, because we don't ever describe their race or their color or anything about ethnicity or their sex, who they desire to have sex with, or if they think they're a boy or a girl. None of that is in that. None of that is in chasing embers. It's just teenagers. Story of teenagers, uh, that are weird. You know, they're not asexual bloggers or racist or, you know, kind of obnoxious feminist. Uh, there has nothing to do with identity. What they're weird about is they're trying to find the truth. They want to know if truth matters. They want to know what the truth is. They've been filled with lies their whole life. How do you find the truth? Especially if you're living in a dystopian world like they are in chasing embers. Available now. New York Times bestseller again.

Thank you, thank you. Thank you for your support. I think you're going to love this book. It's a dystopian thriller. It is made for young adults. But we are getting lots of reviews and lots of letters in from adults who are reading it and say, I love this. So check it out and get it for your family. It's chasing embers, the latest New York Times bestseller from Wa.

And Michaela G. Hedrick. I was so excited for her. This is her first novel. She wrote this with me, and she did so much work. She's been pouring her heart and soul into this. And I was so excited to call her and say, new York Times bestseller. You're an author.

Congratulations.

Speaker D
It's really cool.

Speaker A
And it was, you know, really, she's the one that should get the credit for this. I mean, let's just.

Speaker B
Absolutely.

Speaker A
What did you do? You know?

Speaker B
I mean, yeah, that's really nothing.

Speaker A
You did nothing. I mean, really, to be honest about it.

I mean, it's all really about her. And that makes me more comfortable admitting it.

Speaker B
Well, wait, Glenn Beck.

All right, Isaac. Twisted freak, let me tell you now about our sponsor. It is leaf.

Speaker B
Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. We're really, really glad that you are here. Thank you so much for listening.

I had lunch with Dennis Quaid yesterday. He came over to the house here in the mountains and what a great guy.

Really, really sharp, very spiritually grounded.

And we recorded a special that's going to happen in a couple of weeks when his new movie comes out, Ronald Reagan. But he came in and I have a piano in the, in the great room. And he said, who plays piano? And I said, not me. I'm trying, but not me. And he walked away from it. And then he comes back and he's ready for the interview. And he comes back and he walks in and he stands in front of the piano and he just starts playing. Great balls of fire.

It was unbelievable. The cameras were on, thank God. So we captured it. But it was unbelievable. And he learned that from Jerry Lee Lewis. But we were talking about his new movie, Reagan, that's coming out. And I can't wait to you to hear this interview, because he's.

Reagan was his hero, and he has a lot to say and a lot of insight on what we need to do as a people, what we should be looking for. And he doesn't. Not necessarily political, just much more, you know, principle wise.

But it was. It was great. And in a couple of weeks. When is this? September 20 and 21st at Mercury Studios. I'm opening up our kind of Willy Wonka chocolate factory and inviting some of the best american artists to come in. They've been working with me on trying to put narratives, american narratives, back into art. Instead of just a barn, let's tell a story. And one of the best guys that is, is out there that is painting really great stuff that he knows how to tell a story is Chris Hopkins.

He has done several Super bowl themes. He has. He did the Indiana Jones marquee art and everything.

So he knows how to tell a story like that. I had him send me one of his paintings saluting Reagan, which is he's. He's going to put into the art show, and it is so Norman Rockwell. It's this kid in a cub scout uniform with his dog sitting down, and he sees this picture, this poster on the wall of Reagan, and he stands there and he salutes him. It's just so cool. And we're fortunate to have Chris with us now and also at the art show in September. Hi, Chris.

Chris Hopkins
How you doing, glenna?

Speaker B
I'm doing great. I'm doing great. Can I ask him? By the way, Dennis Quaid, who plays Reagan, he saw your art yesterday. He was like, that's unbelievable. Just unbelievable. I can't wait to see the actual canvas.

Chris Hopkins
Well, it's a real honor for Dennis to say that and for you to take the appreciation you do and what I consider a really important show coming up anyway.

Speaker B
Yeah. Thank you. So you are one of the guys who really took this to heart. And you did several paintings. You have the Reagan one. You also have the Tuskegee airmen, which is just beautiful.

And I was surprised that you took on the vampire Slayer kit.

We asked these artists to go through our museum, and we have a vampire. It's actual vampire slaying kit from, like, 1850 or something from Europe. And it's crazy. I mean, it's just crazy. But you took that on, and you put that into art. Why did you pick that one?

Chris Hopkins
It just looked like fun. Really? Nothing. Nothing more onerous than that.

Speaker B
Yeah, it's just crazy.

And then you also took on World War Two. Tell me about that painting.

Chris Hopkins
Well, that one was General McAuliffe, and, you know, during the battle of the bulge of. And he was surrounded by the Wehrmacht in Belgium, and there was actually no way out. And this is very close to Christmas when he was given an ultimatum by the Germans. In fact, it was Christmas Eve, and he was rolling out of bed when he read this ultimatum for surrender. And he was half asleep. And he asked his aide, what is this? They want to surrender to us? And his aide said, no, they're demanding our surrender. And as far as words were on, nuts. So he gets up and says, he's at his table, fully dressed and awake. He says, what kind of response should I give these guys? And his aides started laughing, said, well, your initial response seemed pretty hard to beat.

You mean nuts? Oh, yeah. So he wrote it out, and they typed up and gave it to the Germans. And the Germans said, well, what does this mean? Is this good or bad? And they said, no, that means you should surrender to us.

They hung in there until Patton's third army came in and freed them and everything. So it's quite a story I have to tell.

Speaker B
I love the stories of in the darkest hours, and there's lots of them. In the darkest hours, these guys would, I mean, they just barrel laugh and, I mean, they just believed in their cause. They knew that they might die, but they were, they enjoyed the moments that they had.

And it's inspiring. It's really inspiring.

Chris Hopkins
Well, in the darkest moments, that's when most or many people shine their brightest. And that was certainly true in this case. And many that happened in that darkness that surrounded world War Two.

Speaker B
When I look at the Reagan poster and Dennis Quaid and I talked about this yesterday, Reagan, it was a different era entirely.

We still had the majority of the population, liked America, was proud of America, wanted to be a better America.

But still, America, does this exist anymore? What is the reaction when you have people see your Reagan painting?

Chris Hopkins
Well, it's surprisingly to me, it's been overall positive because, I mean, who was it? Was it Sir Austin Chamberlain who said that we live in what is interesting times? And that was again quoted by Robert Kennedy. We have the interesting times we're in now, as we seem to be more divided than ever. We've also got a specter hanging in front of us, in my opinion. And we called AI.

And these are much, I guess, interesting, but not in a good way.

And I think when I'm kind of answering your question in a roundabout way, but one of the things about your show that I think would remedy, or at least put a band aid in some of this is artwork has a tendency to bring people together, and that can be done with people with different, maybe extreme points of view. And that's happened to me before. When I did some Tuskegee airmen, I had a show open up here at the Seattle Museum of flight, and we had some former Black Panthers there. We also had some people who were from the tea party at that time, and they were there for one thing, and that was, well, two things. Either to see the artwork and become aware of it, and to pay homage to the Tuskegee airmen. And it was nothing but goodwill throughout that whole hall between everybody, the Black Panthers, and the Tea Party.

And this is one of the things I think you could try to do, because we are at a very polarizing time now, and if we just take the time to even talk to one another, maybe we could hear something that we can maybe not accept or agree with, but we can absolutely be respectful and respectfully disagree with and say we can still work on things together.

And that was my long answer.

Speaker B
Do they believe they can create this art and not be polar? I mean, one of the things that I really wanted to do is, is art tells stories, and we have so much hotel art now that they're not telling. They're not telling stories. They're not inspiring. They're pretty, but they're not inspiring anything.

Where does that come from? Why aren't we doing that more?

Chris Hopkins
I think a lot of it has to do with just the modern times. We are a lot of the things, again, like AI and whatnot, because in the era before we had that, we had people like. Well, like Norman Rockwell, like JC Leyendecker, like Howard Chandler Christie, and all these wonderful illustrators, and what their jobs were, you know, pay their bills, were to tell stories. They had to know perspective. They had to know how to draw people. They had to know how to draw portraits, all of those things which I think are becoming more and more lost. And now that we're on the threshold of AI doing artwork for us, I think that could very well be a nail in the coffin of the expression of the human soul. And this is one of the things these guys had in their work. It was soul. It was just soul in their paintings and their layouts and everything. And that is the one thing I hope that we do not lose, you know, so well.

Speaker B
We're trying our best to encourage you guys. And that's why we have the american narratives in fine art show.

It is. The artists are from, you know, coming from all over the United States. Some of my, I think, are from foreign countries, but they're just great artists that want to tell the american story.

And it's american narratives in fine art.com dot. You can get all the information@glennbeck.com. right now. Get your tickets to come.

It's a different show. It is not being judged by experts. It'll be judged by you.

You can buy the art, look at the art. But it's also put together with the museum artifacts. So whatever artifacts that inspired these guys to come up with the art is with the art.

And so it's something that you can see real history and then see inspirational art to tell that history. And it happens at the Mercury Studios September 20 and 21st. You don't want to miss it in Dallas.

Chris, I can't wait to meet you and shake your hands. And I cannot wait to see that Reagan painting in person. It's beautiful.

Chris Hopkins
Well, I really pre, really appreciate it, Glenn, and your honor, this afternoon, I think I'm going to take off from work and go drop a line in the Skagit river up there by Mount Vernon, see if we can't get a sockeye or something.

Speaker B
Where do you, where do you live, Chris?

Chris Hopkins
I live in Everett, but I'm from Mount Vernon originally.

Speaker B
Oh, my gosh.

Were you there when I was living there? I was 18 and, yeah, I moved.

Chris Hopkins
Out of there and I think 1965, when I was a kid, my father moved. We moved to southern Oregon, and then from there was all over the place. And then I ended up back up here living in Everett. But I know it's going to be a good sunset. I'm going to get a sack of oysters and sit out on the bank and see what we can get.

Speaker B
Shut up.

I wish you were here, Chris. I know. I wish I was, too, Chris. Thank you so much. God bless.

Bye bye.

Yeah. All right. Let me tell you about real estate agents. I trust there's doing a job, and then there's doing a job so well, you stand out in the crowd. And that is the kind of person that we seek at real estate agents. I trust this is just a referral service for you. We really have worked hard. We have a team that vets these people, and I mean six ways to Sunday. And then we interview the people who have used the real estate agents. We stay in touch all the way through the process. To make sure that you're getting the world class service that you deserve. When you're buying or selling a house, if you have somebody who is the expert, it makes things so much easier. And that's who these real estate agents are. They have the best practices down. They have the website that is trafficked so your house will be seen right away by a buttload of people. The agents we work with, I can't wait for you to meet them. And I say that because I get so many people that will write to me and say, I feel like I have a new friend after this. We're still in touch. You're going to like these people, and they're very good at what they do. Realestateagentsitrust.com dot that's realestateagentsitrust.com dot. I'm going to be in Washington, DC towards the end of next month. We'll tell you more about that here in just a minute. It's a big, it's a big deal. It's a march for children. First time there's been a march for children in, in Washington, DC. We'll talk about that in just a minute.

I hope people come to this. Do you think anybody's going to come to this art show, Stu?

Speaker A
Yeah, I do. They usually come to these types of events. I mean, it's not for everybody, right. But it's one of those things that even if you're not, like, into art, you're going to find a lot, I think, that you enjoy, especially if you happen to be someone who really appreciates America and is used to this world, you know, angering you?

Speaker B
Yeah. I mean, I have to tell you, I, you know, the one thing I don't like going into art galleries because I, you know, somebody snotty is going to talk to you and then you're going to feel stupid. And I hate that. I just hate it because I just know what I like. I don't really care, you know? Oh, look at the brushstrokes here. Okay, well, that's cool. And as an artist, I can maybe appreciate that, but the average person doesn't, and they don't want to hear all the snotty gobbledygook that raises the price.

And so I wanted to put something together because the whole point of this is to teach and to show artists that there is an appetite for art that tells stories of heroes.

And so I'm hoping that people will show up, but it's a combination of a museum as well.

I don't think this has ever been done before. And these artists are amazing. These are some of the best. I mean, I was doing an interview with the art magazine on this the other day, and the guy said, how did you get these people to come? And I said, I have no idea. He's like, glenn, these are some of the best artists in America living today. And I'm like, I know. And I have no idea why they're coming or how we convince them, but I'm glad they're coming to please join us. To be clear, it's all the, they're.

Speaker A
Going to be some great artists. But, you know, no one of Hunter Biden's ability.

Speaker B
Oh, I don't think, no, no, we didn't even, we didn't even think of inviting him. You know, we didn't.

I heard he's available. Hunter Biden? No.

Speaker A
Yeah, yeah. They've had more free time as of late. Yeah. No longer needing to run a campaign. There's a lot of free time going around for Hunter. So I think he could show up. He could paint stuff for you whenever you need it.

Speaker B
Well, I've got a room that could be painted.

Speaker A
I would not trust him. I would not trust him.

Speaker B
I wonder how much his art's gonna be worth now.

I mean, if he did an art show again next summer, I wonder how much it would be worth then.

Wouldn't that be interesting?

Speaker A
Oh, my. You ever go to the bargain basement?

Like, you go to a music store and they've got like, eight track cassettes still somehow in a bargain. I think it's going to be that same bin.

Speaker B
All right.

Alveda King, longtime friend of the program and niece of doctor Martin Luther King, joins us in just a minute. Stand by and get ready for the march for children this summer. Summer.

The Glenn Beck program.

Chris Hopkins
No room.

Speaker B
To compromise.

Speaker A
We gotta stay together if we go to survive.

Speaker B
Stand up straight.

It's a new day. I turn around.

Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

Hello, America. It is Friday, and there's something very exciting that is going on at the end of, of this month. We're in August now. At the end of this month, I'm going to be in Washington, DC. And it feels a lot like it did when we did, restoring honor back years and years ago in Washington, DC, in front of the Lincoln Memorial. This time we're going to be in front of the Jefferson Memorial.

And Alveda King is going to be a partner in it with me again. She is one of the leaders of the march for kids, and she has asked me to be captain along with her for the march. And she's with us. We're about to enter Elvita King's house in 60 seconds. Stand by.

Are you living off the grid? And I mean completely off the grid? If you're listening to this show on a crank radio, you have no phone, no computer, no Internet, no smart refrigerator, none of that stuff. Then, you know, you, you probably don't need lifelock. I'm living almost entirely off the grid right now. But I have all of this stuff coming in, you know, as firewalled as everything is, I still need things like lifelock. Let's be real.

It is tough to protect everything that you have. You expose your personal information every day. I'm going to be doing something on the corporate stealing of your information that is going on that you have no idea. I'm going to be doing something on that in the coming weeks. But they have everything about you, and it is so easy to steal your stuff. And then, you know, do crimes taken out in your name, crimes committed by thieves pretending to be you. Don't become a victim of identity theft. They've got a dedicated us restoration specialist that will fix it, guaranteed or your money back. my dear, dear friend, doctor Alveda King. I don't know if you even remember this, doctor, but you sent me an old. It's like a poster or a print of your uncle and the other martyrs.

And I just hung it back up on my wall here at the ranch just the other day, and I was thinking about you. How are you?

She didn't hear me. Is she there?

Alveda King
I'm here. I'm sorry, Glenn. I was on mute.

Speaker B
Oh, there you are.

Alveda King
I absolutely remember.

You remember when we did that? You did restoring honor. You asked me to stand with you. Yeah, I remember. You told me that you and your wife get on your knees and pray when your children were growing up with the door open so they could see you praying. I remember so many things as we reflect now we're going with the mom in a few days and we understand with the moms right back in the DC area.

Speaker B
Yeah.

Alveda King
So I'm ready to do it again, my brother. I remember. Yes, I remember.

Speaker B
I'm with you. So tell us about why this is so important and what's going to happen.

Alveda King
We are going to actually march peacefully, nonviolently and prayerfully, and we're going to stand in the nation's capital once again and implore God to hear us and help to rescue not only this generation and not only the children, but for those who come. And, you know, we know what the power of prayer can do.

We know what the power of unity can do. We know moms for liberty and mothers and, you know, dads across America and grandparents even impacted their election a little while back. They were so outraged at what was happening to their children that they took over many of the schoolboys in this country. And so I'm just saying we're going to encourage people to not give up, to fear, not to be engaged, to be present and to trust God. Now, you know, Glenn, I don't worship you. I worship God. You know that. But I always show it was something to be on the Glenn Beck show. So to share airways with you now, and I'm sorry about the background noise to share that with.

Speaker B
Not a problem.

Alveda King
2024. It's amazing. And you've been occupying airspace forever. And you do it well.

Speaker B
Yeah.

Thank you. Well, Evita, you know, when we, when we did restoring honor together, you could feel, everybody felt it. That was there. It was not a political.

Yeah, it was. It was not a political rally. It was much more of a spiritual move, movement that really marked people. Is this the kind of feeling that you're expecting again? At the Jefferson memorial?

Alveda King
There was an impromptu flyover with us in the airwaves when we were there. Then I'm expecting the, I expect the people of America, because when they hear you, when they hear me, we always saying, be courageous. Have faith, have hope, have love. Don't give back. Give up, fight back spiritually. You know, we don't have to do violence. We can fight with prayer. We can fight on our knees, man. So I'm expecting that, you know, this is going to move the hearts of America. I'm asking God to touch people's hearts and let them not be afraid, but to be present, be present, don't be violent, don't be afraid. Don't be angry. Be present.

Speaker B
Would you tell the story of the time that you spent in jail and your daughter or your. Your father let you spend the night in jail and what that was all about? Because I think that's important when you look at a march and how serious you are when you say, no, this is not about anger.

Alveda King
It is not about anger. And I remember it was in the 1960s. I was a youth organizer, and we had been trained well to not fight, not to be, not, not to be, vowed, not to answer the taunts, just sing and pray and march for freedom. And that's what we did. However, on this particular occasion, we had gone to city hall and we did what was called a lie in. And you may have seen some of the pro life used to that in DC. They lay down on the ground and pray and won't get up. And so one of the officers stomped in my girlfriend's stomach and she was defenseless. I was about 128 pounds, Glenn, if you can imagine that. Then I literally pulled the man off of her and threw him against the wall. I had that much adrenaline.

So obviously you cannot accost an officer of the law. You can't do that. So they tried. They tried to hold me, but I was so upset, they had stomped in my girlfriend's stomach. So they threw me in the paddy wagon. They shot some kind of nerve gas in my arm and threw me in the paddy wagon. I get to jail. Daddy had gone on home. He peaceful part of it. He had gone home. I daddy, I'm in jail. Come get me, daddy. Come get. He said, no, we're supposed to be nonviolent. Why don't you just sit there and think about that? I'll see you tomorrow.

And I had to go back and study the principles of nonviolent. I had to ask the lord to forgive me. I had to pray all night because I couldn't sit down in that jail cell anyway. It had a hole in the floor, a nasty, funny looking toilet, some water attached to the toilet water found. I'm like, oh, my God. So I just prayed all night. And he said, if you're gonna be in this fight, you're gonna have to love, you're gonna have to repent. You're gonna have to forgive. You're gonna have to accept that there's one blood and one human race. You're not different races, and you cannot hate anybody. And he taught me that when his brother was shot. I remember that when he was killed and thrown in the pool. My granddaddy, when my grandmother was shot and said, granddaddy went to the jail and told the man who shot his wife he forgave him. I was like, how can you do that? But I've learned. And so that's what, that's who you know today, Glenn. And you've seen me in action. We've been out on the front lines. Even when we went down, when we went down to the border, and that was a high risk trip you took us on, and we saw those children who were suffering so much. My God, I've been on the front lines with you many times. And I'm glad that you still occupying the airwaves. I'm so glad you're still doing it, Glenn, and giving me a chance to put my voice out here today. I'm so glad.

Speaker B
Well, you know, I love you, Alvede. I just love you like a sister. You are just the greatest, and it's an honor to know you.

And I will just, I'm thrilled to be a march captain. Write a song right along with you. There's a couple of other people, let me see if I have this, that have just been invited. Tulsi Gabbard is also going to be a march captain, and she's going to be steak speaking.

And several other people are coming. And this is, this is not a political rally. It is not standing right. It is standing against the things that, you know, are trying to take our children away from the parents and make the government.

But that shouldn't be political.

Alveda King
No, it's life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, the opportunity for parents to be present in their children's lives, to make wise decisions for their safety and protection. This is what it is. It's not political. As a matter of fact, you know, I have stepped away from politics and I began to pray, you know, that about me. So it's not political. It's emphasized. And anybody who's saying, well, if it's not political, yeah, I can come because I'm not going to vote political. Yes, you are going to vote. You better vote for christian values and you better do it quick. But it's not political. But it doesn't let you off the hook. We better vote for christian values, Glenn. We better. We got it. Yeah.

Speaker B
Thank you so much, Alveda King, always great. We'll talk again and we'll see you in a couple of weeks in Washington, DC.

Alveda King
Yes, my friend. God bless.

Speaker B
God bless you. That is the march for children. You can go to marchforkids.com, marchforkids.com and find all, find out all about it. You need to encourage your church, your neighborhood, your friends.

We need to stand up. And it is going to be a day of prayer and celebration. And yes, strong words, because the words that are going to be spoken are true.

These are our children. They do not belong to the government. They do not belong to the world of science.

To be experimented on, we have to stand up for our children. And part of that is taking on the education system, the medical system, et cetera, et cetera. And we can't be wusses about it. If we don't stand up for our kids, nobody else will. Marchforkids.com. that's marchforkids.

It's coming up at the end of August. All right, our sponsor this half hour is Lear capital.

So the national debt this week, congratulations, just surpassed $35 trillion. Now, if you break $35 trillion down, that's more than $100,000 per man, woman and child.

Now imagine how much it is per taxpayer, because not every man, woman and child is a taxpayer. But if we spread it out evenly, $100,000 is what you owed. But that does not include the personal debt, the corporate debt, state and local debt. That comes out to $101 trillion, or nearly $300,000 for every man, woman and child. How do you think they're going to solve this? Okay, your grandchildren will be born owing about a million dollars very soon.

We have more reviews coming in for chasing embers, which is a number eight surprise. We made it that high and number eight on the New York Times bestselling list.

We're really thrilled that you and your families are enjoying. Let me read just a couple of things Katie wrote in. I ordered this book for my two daughters, twelve and 14. We received it on Friday. By Monday morning, they had both read it and were both asking if it was a series. And there are more. Both love the book and highly recommend. Well, if it continues to sell the way it is, there will be follow ups. We have eight in this series, and it's an unbelievable story as you get into it.

We hope we can keep this story going, but it is really up to you.

Of course, if you didn't read the book like this one lone reviewer did, they wrote, this book is a blatant attempt to normalize extreme right wing viewpoints. The effort by moms for liberty to place this book into public schools is frightening, especially when far less controversial books have been banned due to political ideology. I have to tell you, there is nothing controversial in this. But we don't talk about Democrats, Republicans, we don't talk about world economic, for we don't talk about anything. This is a future dystopian society that was America, and everything was banned. This story has been told many times. The reason why they don't like it is because it was written with the intent to get kids to go down rabbit holes and learn about true history. Uh, it was extraordinarily difficult to write. So it wasn't preachy. It didn't seem like it had an agenda. It's just a great story. That's all it is. It's a great story. But there are all kinds of hidden Easter eggs in this book, um, that maybe we should talk about at some point. Um, and if your kids are really into it, they'll find those Easter eggs, but none of them is about politics. But they go on. Planting ideas of rebellion. Rebellion and violence in the minds of our children is not representative of our country's true values. These viewpoints should not be normalized in indoctrination in the youth.

Really, if you read chasing embers, you'd be laughing right now. There's no right wing extremism in it, but you might have a hard time finding it in your bookstore because a lot of them are being hidden in other ports, other parts of the bookstores, so that's so clever of them, isn't it? It. I want you to be able to find their books. I don't care. I don't care what you read. Read anything. You should read everything.

This is a book for you or any teenager in your life.

It just tells the truth. Truth. And it's a great story. Chasing embers by me and Michaela G. Hendrick. Hendrick. It's available now. And congratulations to Michaela on her first New York Times best selling book. All right, who stu? We have Steve days coming in. We're going to talk about the. The Trump campaign and the Kamala Harris campaign and how they're rewriting everything right now, and they're completely going off of a new playbook. And they're changing the way. They're no longer saying he's a threat to democracy. They're just saying he's weird.

They've softened an awful lot of stuff, and they're rewriting her history. We're going to talk to Steve about that.

Speaker A
And this makes sense, of course, if you are losing, what you want to do is try something different. Right. And they have been losing, I think, with this, this type of attack most of the time against Donald Trump, the, the sort of screeching, always escalating danger type of warning with more and more exclamation points at the end of, of, he's taking our democracy. I mean, just has a shelf life. I think people are no longer, it's that they don't, it doesn't affect people anymore. And they, so they are trying something different. I mean, and that's unfortunately, I think, smart. Whether it actually lasts and works, I don't know.

Speaker B
It's interesting how you're not hearing about any of the trials. You're not hearing about any of that stuff.

Speaker A
It's all gone.

Speaker B
It just all went away because it wasn't ever about seeking the truth. It wasn't ever about justice. It was about painting somebody as an, as an evil person that is just trying to take over the world who's just a horrible person and a horrible criminal. It was never about any of that. None of it. Otherwise, why wouldn't you still be pursuing it? You're not pursuing it because it was only a political tactic. That's it. That's it.

Speaker A
I mean, I mean, obviously they didn't mean this, right? Like, you know, a lot of people pointed out after the assassination attempt, if he's Hitler, why are you wishing him well? Like, it doesn't mean, it doesn't really make any sense.

But also, it doesn't make any sense that his hand, they would, they would fund in primaries his hand chosen candidates because they thought they would be more easily beaten in the general elections. Now, if you really thought this was a hitlerian movement, I mean, that would be very strange behavior. You wouldn't want to risk that type of thing. But, you know, it kind of proves that they don't really believe that, but they want to win. They want to hold on to power, and that's much more important to them than, than anything else.

Speaker B
You know, I think they're also going to have a hard time with women. You know, if you look, and Steve can probably talk to, about, talk about this. If you look, the, the Democrats haven't won with married women since 1996. Did you know that since 1996, they have not won with married women?

And that's why they're pushing all of this ideology. Don't marry, don't have kids.

Marriage is just a construct, all of this garbage, because they know once people get married, once they have children, they start to, it's Churchill.

If you weren't a liberal when you were young, when you were 20, you had no heart. If you're not a conservative by 50, you have no head.

You know, there's a balance between those two things that we should be striving for.

But that's why it works so well with, with young people. And that's why it is, I mean, young women are picking up this progressive movement and they are moving way left on it and, and embracing it. Young women, young men are 20 points the other direction.

Speaker A
Yeah. I mean, Republicans win with married men, single men and married women, and Democrats only win with single women. But it's, you know, the other numbers are close and it's enough to push them over the barrier a lot of times. And again, we are in an era, I mentioned this the other day, where young women spend more time with their cats, actively engaged with their cats than human beings.

Speaker B
Now I don't want to, I don't want you to think that's a joke. That is true, that this just came out. Repeat it.

Speaker A
Young women with better pet owners spend more time actively engaged with their pets than they do with human beings.

Speaker B
Actively engaged with their cat more than human beings.

I don't know. That doesn't sound good.

What could possibly go wrong with that?

Pass the meowmex.

Glenn Beck.

Bob wrote in about his experience with relief factor. He says relief factor is amazing. Bottom line is, it worked for me. I have lower back pain from an auto accident I was in ten years ago.

I haven't even taken ibuprofen for months now because of relief factor. Try it. You will not believe when one day you wake up and you feel like a new person.

Bob, thank you for writing in. Thank you. I'm so happy to hear that you're feeling better.

Here's what I want you to know. If you have the feeling that Bob has been describing and you would like the second half of his story, would you just try relief factor?

What a joy it is to wake up without that debilitating pain first thing in the morning. I got my life back. Bob got his life back with relief factor. Relief factor, a hundred percent drug free daily supplement that helps your body fight pain. Naturally developed by doctors, it uses a unique formula of natural ingredients that addresses the inflammation in your body, which starts the pain and the disease cycle. It's relieving 1800 for relief, 1800, the number for reliefrelieffactor.com.

Speaker A
And it's blazetv.com. glenn, get the code. Glenn 30 trial gets you a free week and $30 off your subscription to Blaze TV. Steve days coming up next.

Speaker B
Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. It's Friday. I have a friend that was over the house last night, and he, since I last saw him, he had died, clinically dead on the table and came back. And he said, glenn, that your life flashes before your eyes is absolutely true. And he said it was the weirdest experience. He said, I've changed so much from them from then because I realized I wasn't doing all that I could do.

I had dropped the ball in so many places.

We are now.

I would like your political life to flash in front of your eyes here, because 45 days from now, Pennsylvanians begin to vote, and we go from a theory of, yeah, it would be great. And, yeah, I'm fighting for to the reality of here's what people did.

And Steve days is here. He's. I know. Steve, you have been on the Trump bandwagon. Now that the, the, you know, primaries are over, you've gotten what every Republican, you know, has always been told to do, and that is get on the train. And you're on the train now and supporting Donald Trump, and you're concerned about what you're seeing. I saw your tweet this morning that you think that we might, we should be asking ourselves some honest questions about our messaging. Explain.

Speaker D
I think, and I think this is actually a campaign thing. Like, I don't want to change any of this disruption and the disruptive traits that Trump brings to the table.

Speaker B
He's been accused of, for instance, with the journalist, this, that was masterful.

Speaker D
That was masterful. And you could just see in the audience, the crowd was turning in his favor almost from the jump when he pushed back on her.

What you need a campaign to do, though, and in some respects, Glenn, this is kind of the opposite of what I thought when I was with the DeSantis campaign in the primary, in that you have a very disciplined candidate. Okay? And so the campaign needs to be the hype man. Right? Ron DeSantis is not a guy that sits in an auditorium of 10,000 people and commands that presence. He's a ruthless administrator that gets stuff done. And so the campaign now needs to provide the stage presence he's more than a man. He's more machine than man. Like, they just never. And that never happened. Okay? In this case, the candidate is his own hype man. And what needs to happen when he walks out of there and goes after Kamala Harris and questions her credibility to the point of questioning her own genealogy and family origin? Okay? The campaign needs to come out and say, and the same woman that you can't trust to tell you whether she's indian, whether she's african american, whether she's this or that is the same woman that never went to the border as a border czar is the same woman and who was with the White House that lied to the american people and gaslit them for the last three years, that the president's senile and has dementia. The campaign needs to come in. You know, a campaign and a candidate are like a marriage. And the literal hebrew translation there for helpmate by the way of a wife, the word actually literally translates, I believe, to rescue her. That a woman literally rescues a man from his shortcomings and deficiencies.

She fills in those gaps. Okay? And that's what a campaign is supposed to do to a candidate. And what I see is I even understand why they're mad at Heritage foundation getting out ahead of them. I get that being on campaigns, you can't get ahead of the candidate. I get that. But you also can't spend more, more time attacking the Heritage foundation in Project 2025 than you can talking about the fact that you took a bullet to the face for the american people. And the campaign has. And, Glenn, would you have imagined three weeks ago that we would have a conversation and think, I can't believe the campaign has not used that to inspire voters more than they have. They barely bring it up. They barely talk about it. And I just think we're off message. And I'm worried. I'm worried because they are going to start voting in Pennsylvania in 45 days. And I think if we make it an issue based campaign, if we pivot to this is what Trump did so well in 2016, that's why I want him to go back and do it again. He didn't just say, Mexico's bringing us, it's rapist druggies and drug mules and human traffickers, and then just leave it there. He then said that. And then, and that's why we're going to build a wall and we're going to secure the border so they can stop doing this to you. You see what I'm saying? He pivoted to issues that hit home for the average American, the average American needs to feel why Kamala Harris is incompetent. They need to feel why she's a complete contrivance and not even a real person and not credible and a veep episode come to life.

We can't just leave it there. We have to say, that's why this, that's why she was silent and complicit in the gaslighting of the president's mental state. That's why she never visited the border. That's why she was part of the collapsing economy we currently have. They need to pivot to those issues, and that's what a campaign needs to do. And I just don't see that. And I am very concerned.

Speaker B
So I would agree with, I think Donald Trump is doing a magnificent job himself. I think it is a campaign problem because I do tend to agree with you that, you know, the Harris campaign has pivoted 180 degrees.

They're no longer talking about him being a criminal or anything else.

And, and that is, we can't play the same game because it's a different player.

And if you put, I mean, she is the Biden administration. She was there the whole time. She was with all of it. And if it is a Trump as a personality against the Kamala, I don't know who wins because both sides will split on that. But if you're talking about, hey, how's your grocery bill? Correct. How's your gas bill?

Speaker D
Correct.

Speaker B
What do you think's going to happen when kamala gets in? Do you think gas is going to go down or up? Do you think inflation, with her spending, her wanting to create jobs that are all government jobs guaranteed by you, the taxpayer, do you think your, your prices of goods and services, inflation is going to go down or up? Those are the things. How many, I can't believe that we are. You know, they actually came out yesterday and said, Donald Trump said that he could have, this deal wouldn't have been necessary. He could have gotten the, you know, the hostages out. Well, I probably, probably so we wouldn't be in the situation we were in if it wasn't for Donald Trump. However, can somebody just ask, why do you think Putin would make Joe Biden look like a peacemaker right now?

You know, who do you, who do you think Putin wants in the Oval Office? It ain't Donald Trump. Who does China want? It's not Donald Trump. Who does Iran want? It's not Donald Trump. Of course they're going to come out and do deals now.

Speaker D
I thought the single best messaging clip he's produced in his candidacy. This round was the interview that he did with Lori Ingram a few days ago, and she asked him about trannies, okay? And he's like, and he was like, that stuff's completely ridiculous. We're not permitting that stuff if I'm president. But then he pivoted to this. And I love the fact that he kept using the word we. Okay? What we want is grocery bills to be affordable. What we want is for the border to be secure. What we want is for common sense to return what we want. Nobody even talk, he said, nobody even talks about the american dream anymore.

We want to be talking about that again. And I saw that and I thought that especially the use of the word we because that, because the Democrats want to make it look like he isn't part of a movement. He's a singular entity, a singular force.

He's dangerous, reckless, et cetera. He is actually at his best when he is seen as a movement, when he says stuff like, you know, they're coming after me because I represent you. I mean, that's when he's at his best. And I think what I see is that they're off message. I'll even give you another subtlety. Calling her a flip flopper lets her off the hook. You're not running against John Kerry in 2004, where he's not president. And so questioning his credibility on the issues because he's not a known quantity is a good tactic. And remember, they busted out the flip flops, and that was devastating against John Kerry. She has effectively been some form of president the last few years, or athenae least in on those conversations. I would not grant her because she could just turn around and say, well, you know, I'm not Joe Biden. And I looked at the data and I did this differently. And I think we should maybe do some things differently on the border than we did the last couple of years. You don't let her. Don't grant her that. You need to. Just don't. Don't call her a flip flopper. She's a radical. She needs to own every, every dot and tittle, every syllable of morsel of record of this White House. She has to own it. Attacking her as a, as a flip flopper grants the premise that she's somewhat undefined and therefore allows them to redefine her, which is what you're seeing them try to do right now. Do not accept that premise on any level. Make her own the record of this administration.

You should run on her on the issues as you would have run against Joe Biden because she is essentially the stand in for him, if not literally speaker one.

Speaker B
So we're sitting here looking an awful lot in some ways, like the Wilson campaign in 1912 against Roosevelt, Roosevelt was honest about his progressivism. And he said, I'm going to do this, this and this, and that scared the american people because they thought he went too far, and Wilson did the exact opposite. He said, oh, he's a radical. He's a. Well, Wilson was the real radical. Right, right. Yeah. And I think I, you know, Joe Biden was a puppet. He was, you know, weekends at Bernie's, and he wasn't checked in enough. You know, Barack Obama was running the White House.

Kamala Harris believes this stuff.

Joe Biden doesn't believe this stuff. She does.

And she's much more radical than he was. Was ever. And if people don't understand that, you know, you have to support the president.

But when she said, I was the last person in the room with him for Afghanistan, and I. 100%, I'd never say that if I was against the president, I'd say, look, the decision was made by the president, and I support the president going forward. We, we disagreed on a few things, but that's, that's neither here nor there. I support the president of the United States. You don't go on a big disaster like that and say, I was the last person in the room to talk to him. And I agree. It was great.

No, no.

And, you know, I was telling Stu today that Ford gave a speech in 1978 or 79 when he was running against Reagan in the primary, and he said he was asked by a little girl, how are you going to get a woman in the presidency? When will that happen? Will it ever happen? He said, yeah, it's going to happen. I'll tell you how. He said, either a Democrat or Republican is going to pick a running mate that's a female. She's going to be the vice president, and the president will die. And that's how you'll have your first female president. Wow, this is. I know.

This is how we're going to elect because she could never think about. Let me just write fiction here for you. Think about how radical she is and how she performed in the primaries.

Nobody liked her. Correct. Nobody.

Speaker D
Listen, I'm in Iowa as you.

Speaker B
Nobody liked her.

Speaker D
We saw her more than anybody did. She couldn't even make it to the Iowa caucuses.

Speaker B
All right.

To me, disaster.

Speaker D
There's a reason why, and I think him and his campaign need to say this. There's a reason why the same forces that pushed Joe Biden out of the campaign are not pushing him out of the White House, because it would actually strengthen her candidacy. If she was a credible candidate, it would strengthen her candidacy to be seen as president first, to get basically a 90 day test drive with the american people where they get comfortable with this. They know, therefore, they're not doing that because they know if they see that ahead of time that they won't vote for that, they know that. They know that she's a Veep episode come to life. And so they've got to do the Kamala lot campaigns that you're seeing now. The Trump campaign needs to make her president right now. There's a reason why Democrats don't want her to be president right now. They don't want to give the american people a trailer to the movie that they're asking them to buy a ticket to. And the Trump campaign needs to provide that movie trailer and shove it down the american people's throats. And it's got to be, though, about issues people care about. I love deconstructing her personality because they're trying to construct and reconstruct one as we speak. But it's got to be to get to the result of making me care about why I care about that they're doing this and they're doing this so that they can get her in the White House against me, knowing who she really is. So they can more California, California, the country, they can more radicalize the country.

And the Trump campaign needs to make her seem like she's president of the United States to the american people right now.

Speaker B

Hello and welcome to the Glenn Beck program. This week, I just want to leave you with one thought. I want you to ponder this over the weekend. Do you remember when Michelle Obama said this in 2007 and eight and Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices.

We are going to have to change our conversation.

Speaker D
We're going to have to change our traditions, our history. We're going to have to move into a different place.

Speaker B
Okay. Do you remember when you heard that? What was your feeling?

If you were like me? You heard that and went, wait, wait, wait. Hold it just a second. We're going to have to make sacrifices. We're going to change our history the way we talk to each other, our traditions.

That doesn't sound good.

Now, that caused a lot of people to be concerned when they first heard that. Now let me ask you what you felt when you heard Kamala Harris say this. But inspired by also our collective ability to see what can be unburdened by what has been.

We've made fun of that.

Don't make fun of that. She's saying exactly what Michelle Obama said.

Unburdened by our truth, our history, our language, our traditions.
