Disney's Evil Empire Just Killed Star Wars | Guests: Charlie Kirk & Nerdrotics | 6/21/24

Primary Topic

This episode delves into the recent actions of Disney, viewed as damaging to the "Star Wars" franchise, with guests Charlie Kirk and Nerdrotics offering their insights and criticisms.

Episode Summary

In this incisive episode of the Glenn Beck program, the discussion centers around the perceived negative impact of Disney's corporate decisions on the "Star Wars" franchise. Charlie Kirk and Nerdrotics join to dissect how these decisions reflect broader cultural and political trends that they believe undermine both the beloved series and wider societal values. They argue that Disney's stewardship represents a form of cultural overreach, where corporate priorities overshadow creative integrity and fan preferences. This episode not only critiques specific changes to "Star Wars" but also links these developments to larger discussions about corporate influence in entertainment, suggesting that the essence of the original "Star Wars" vision is being compromised in favor of political correctness and profitability.

All right, let me tell you about Jace Medical. This is why you. It's important for you to have a Jace case.

Anybody who looks at our economy right now for more than a minute or two and thinks that it's getting better, you must be working for the Biden administration.

It has a spiraling effect. We haven't felt the real impact of the things that Biden has done to the economy until 2025. So next year, consumer sentiment is at the lowest level the past year. We are on the verge of some sort of war. If that breaks up with China, we lose so many of our antibiotics and so many of our medicines because most of them cover up China.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

Hello, America. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.

There was a story that we reported back in 2023.

In fact, it was our lead story on our show prep that day, and neither stu nor I really remember it. Now, here's why this is important.

This is what we do for a living. And I know we talked about it, but so many things are going on that for some reason, it didn't.

It didn't track with us, and we completely forgot about it until today.

It's the story of the homeland Intelligence experts group.

This is.

I mean, if you are trying to save our democracy, do you create a secret police force?

I don't think so.

We go there in 60 seconds.

Hey, whatever you're planning to do this summer, you know, can you do it with the pain that you have? I have to tell you, I've been walking a lot up here in the mountains, and, well, not exactly doing hiking. It's usually my. My rhino will break down or something. Then I'll be like, oh, I gotta walk 2 miles back. Anyway, you can do it pain free and do the things you want to do all summer long. If you try relief factor now, it doesn't work for everybody. 70% of the people who try it go on to order more. It means about 30%. It doesn't really work for them. But I tell you, it has worked for me, and it was a game changer. It reduces your inflammation in your body naturally. It's a supplement that you take every single day. And I'll tell you, it has changed me. It has changed so many people's lives. Tanya swears by it. Tanya swears by all of the relief factor products just as much as I do. Try it. Relief factor. Get out of pain naturally. Save on your first order. 800 the number four relief 800 the number four release. Here's to less missing out and living a better, pain free life with relieffactor.com dot stu. For the life of me, I looked at this story and I just didn't recall it at all. And I think this is, this tells you something, that we have so many things going on in our country right now that a story this big could elude us or just talk about it once and then move on. Listen to this.

Stu
To be clear, this didn't elude us, right? It was actually in the show prep in the newsletter. If you're a subscriber to the newsletter, which is all the show prep that we do every day, you got this on September 21, 2023.

It was the lead story that day in our prep, and we talked about it. But, you know, you're right. These things just come and go because of every day is a new catastrophe.

Glenn Beck
Yeah. Listen to this one. The Biden administration, since disbanded. Homeland intelligence expert group. Which reminds me, make sure you listen to the new podcast, the Beck story. The third one comes out tomorrow. Is it the third one or fourth one? And it's all about experts and how these experts, it's all part of the progressive plan for the last hundred years. The world will start making sense to you like nobody's business anyway. So that's the Homeland intelligence experts group.

They planned an influence operation to persuade mothers and teachers to inform on dissident parents and students suspected of domestic extremism.

Now, as we told you after the passing of the Patriot act, be careful because terrorism can be an one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. And we're seeing that. We're seeing that all the time. If you are standing up and you're standing up peacefully, you can go to jail, you can go to prison, you can stand up peacefully, and, in fact, kneel down and pray in front of an abortion clinic, and you can go to jail now for ten years. But you can burn down an abortion clinic and they don't even look for you.

The panel created in September of last year was to provide advice and perspectives on intelligence and national security efforts. I'm quoting.

They included the Obama era CIA director John Brennan.

Gee, how many times have we seen his name come up and it's all related to bad, oppressive stuff?

Also, the ex director of the National Intelligence Agency, James Clapper. Now, these were the guys that, during the 2020 election, were showing their credentials. Hey, I just want you to know I'm a big wig in the intelligence department. And let me tell you, this Hunter Biden laptop, that's dangerous russian disinformation.

Okay.

Conservative nonprofit. Thank God for american first legal alleged in November, in a lawsuit in 2023 November that the group was stacked with democratic partisans. Now listen to this. This is how this thing was stopped.

It was stacked with democratic partisans and violated the federal Advisory Committee act. Because of its lack of balance, the Biden administration's inappropriate influence over it, and its lack of public notice and participation, DHS agreed to disband the group and to provide american first legal with the internal records as part of an out of court settlement in May. I just want you to know, they don't stop these things. They rename them, they break them up, and they do them in other ways.

You can't say you are a lover of our democracy and you're trying to save democracy and put a secret council together that is encouraging people to look at political dissent and report on those people so the government can do something.

In the notes from a September 2023 meeting, the Brennan Clapper group discussed ways for the Department of Homeland Security to increase efforts to collect intelligence on Americans across the country and to get into local communities in a non threatening way.

Members noted, quoting, Americans have an ambivalent feeling of telling on each other, citing the failure of see something, say something.

No, we don't. We're not ambivalent about that. We don't want to do that.

If I see somebody that is breaking the law and I think they're doing something that looks like it might be terroristic in nature, yeah, I will call the police, but I'm not snooping and spying on my neighbors.

The problem one intendee attendee summarized was, quote, how do we get people? Or how do people safely report a concern about their neighbors?

One solution proposed at the meeting was to reclassify. Listen to this.

One proposal was to reclassify political dissent as a public health crisis and to encourage Americans to report family members or neighbors to the federal government if they displayed any. Concerning behavior.

Yeah, well, here's some concerning behavior.

Trump Derangement syndrome.

Here's some concerning behavior. Putting together, the Stasi.

Here's some concerning behavior.

Allowing illegals and gangs to come into our country, rape and kill our children, and still do nothing about it.

Who do I call for that?

To get a mother or a teacher to come forward, it needs to be a public health catchers mitt.

So, so they're saying a Trump Derangement syndrome. They're saying if you disagree, it's because you have mental health problems.

Now, stu, what was one of the ways that the Stasi and the Nazis could get people at the beginning, before they just said, we don't care to get people off the streets who disagreed with them. Where, where did they put some of those people before the concentration camps?

Stu
Hmm?

Where did they.

Glenn Beck
Speaker one. Asylums.

Stu
Oh, yeah, that's very true.

Glenn Beck
Asylums.

They put them in the crazy house because they were just crazy. Because to go against what is good for the common good is clearly some sort of mental health disorder.

If DHS could not convince mothers and teachers to become informants, one member of the group suggested the feds listen to this, should turn to corporate America as a resource of intelligence on their employees.

May I ask, what more information does our government need on us as individuals? They already know we know that they are listening to us. Now, I don't mean that they're actually. Somebody's on the other line listening in. They don't need that. They now have AI and keywords. So if you are on the telephone and you're talking to somebody and you mentioned the word assassination, that keyword highlights it, and that record is pulled out, and that's when it's analyzed.

We already know they're doing this.

We already know they track if you're a person of interest.

And be careful on what that means.

If you're a person of interest, what can they do? Well, they'll go in to your social network and they will see, and we know they're doing this without being people of interest, just topics that they find disturbing.

So if you're online, they will look, where did that idea come from? They'll do a tree and they'll do a tree to all of your friends and relatives to see who is spreading this.

They're doing that. What else? What other information do they need from corporate America?

My gosh. Have you ever worked for a really vindictive person? Have you ever worked at a place where your bosses were just scumbags? Can you imagine if they had the power to report you to the federal government on. Yes. Just any old thing.

They said that the corporate America should be considered as a resource of intelligence on their employees. Because there is an industry ecosystem, companies are internally collecting open sources.

Can we engage and use those products?

Plans have strong echoes of East Germany's secret police agency, the Stasi, which relied on a network of unofficial informants to report friends, family and neighbors as potential dissidents to the socialist regime between 1950 and 1990.

So do you know what happened? Do you know why? When people come here, the thing that people used to always say about America is they're so trusting.

Americans are just so open and they'll invite you into their house and, you know, they'll just, they're just talk to you and it's, there's nowhere on earth like that.

Do you know why?

Because we've never had a Stasi.

We've never had to worry about our neighbors on the payroll of the federal government turning us in. I'm sorry. We did during Woodrow Wilson.

We did all of this for three years under Woodrow Wilson. And it is why there wasn't a single progressive elected for ten years, because it took our breath away.

Thanks to american first legal, we're able to get the Biden steam personal documents outlining the strategy to monitor and intimidate any dissenting views.

It's shocking to see such intolerance and paranoria in written form.

The revelations are the first installment of what the AFL is calling the deep state diaries.

They promised that many more documents obtained are going to be released soon. Now you want to talk about releasing documents? Here's the other thing that our federal government is doing. This is why Stu and I lost track of this story until, until AFL came out and sued and won because there's so many of these things.

Let me tell you something else.

If you believe in democracy, one man, one vote, which we have that portion when we go to vote for a representative. That's why we're a representative republic, a democratic, a democratically elected representative government.

A republic.

Anyway.

If you believe one man, one vote, then you should be the strongest person on voter fraud.

You should be the number one person saying, wait a minute, wait a minute. I believe the people and the people alone should decide.

Then you should be the strongest in standing up and saying, and no one should be able to influence that. Notice they try to take the money out of it, okay?

But they leave all of those loopholes open for people like George Soros.

And as long as their party is doing it, it's fine. I don't want my party doing it. I don't want any party doing it. I want one man, one vote. There's no reason our elections are not secured by blockchain right now. There's no reason for this.

But let me go a step further. Let me tell you some of the details of the voter access executive order.

You won't believe this one.

Next 60 seconds.

First, let me tell you about real estate agents I trust. Reputation, to me means a lot. And that doesn't mean being popular, you know, so much as being somebody that you can trust. And one of the things that used to really, really bother me was I'm an alcoholic. And in the eighties and nineties, I lied my way through my life just so I could drink and I had no credibility left. And it really bothered me because I worked so hard.

And when the Soros people and media matters and everybody else came and smeared me as a liar and conspiracy theorist, whatever, I may be wrong from time to time, but I believe these things and I've done my homework. And it really bothered me that they were trying to hurt my credibility. And they did for half the country. I have no credibility.

That's fine. I can only affect the ones that listen to me and know me. If you don't know me well enough to know who I really am, you don't know me well enough to criticize.

But anyway, the point of this is realestateagentsitrust.com.

we look for those people that have the best business practices, who really work hard to make sure that, that you can trust them, that they know what they're talking about. They'll tell you when they don't know, they'll let you make the decisions. You can trust them to not misinterpret and report you for calling it a master bedroom.

Okay, so one of the first executive orders that Joe Biden put in was his voter access executive order. And what this? What this?

Let me say this. All that we know is that it was an all government executive order. So every branch, every, every part of our government was ordered by the president to make sure that they can give and grant voter access to as many people as possible.

Now we have, we have sued the government. We as people, we have sued the government for it. We have issued foias.

Watchdog groups, election integrity advocates. They suspect that Biden is using taxpayer money to further his campaign for reelection. This is executive order 14 oh 19.

The executive order requires all federal agencies to use federal funds.

Hmm. Biden Bucks and resources to promote access to voting.

Even though it promotes the executive order, the Biden administration as benign the Biden administration is taking a variety of measures to order to make sure that this is under wraps, that their voter registration plan is kept from any kind of daylight.

In particularly, the administration is steadfastly denying Freedom of Information act request and battling in court to hide the details of how the executive order is being implemented.

Why wouldn't you want people to know how you're making voting easier?

The administration has even invoked presidential privilege on two occasions, one involving a public records lawsuit by a watchdog organization.

Voter integrity groups, again like American First Legal foundation, has also filed lawsuits attempting to find information about Biden Bucks. Even when the Biden administration does provide documents in a response to an information request about Biden, Buck's executive order, the documents are redacted in outrageous way.

At least one case, all of the communication that we that was FoIAD was blacked out except for two words.

Those two words, this is, that's all they would allow you to see.

Information about how the USDA is registering voters is especially important since it deals with predominantly democratic voter groups such as welfare recipients. One concern is the USDA may be issuing letters to the state agencies that administer snap and WIC programs, instructing them to conduct voter registration activities in a partisan manner. The Biden administration is also refusing to be transparent about its listening session, discussing the executive order held notoriously with partisan far left organizations such as the George Soros Open Society Policy center.

They are not being transparent.

Does that mean that they're doing something they're proud of? Does that mean they're doing something that they think you're going to be happy about when they are just opening up the borders and letting anybody in?

And they'll tell you all about it, but they won't tell you about what they're doing to register voters as the federal government problem, big problem.

But all of this is, well, I'll get into it here in just a second. 1st let me tell you about our sponsor this half hour. It's rough greens. If you feed your dog kibble food, you probably know by now that it's, you know, like the guy in the Princess bride. It's mostly dead.

Not entirely dead, just mostly dead.

Like a good MLT, muntain, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Anyway, there's a difference between mostly dead and all dead. But the good news is you can do something about it. And you don't need miracle Max. You need rough greens. You don't have to completely change your dog's diet or anything like that. Rough Greens is something that I've been putting on my dog, Uno's food, for years now. And I think Uno's gotten the best, healthiest years of his life because of it. I wish I could show you the difference in Uno and you could live it yourself, but you could see it in your own dog. It's a supplement developed by naturopathic doctor Dennis Black that you sprinkle on your dog's food no matter what they eat.

And it gives all of the antioxidants and the probiotics and everything that's not mostly dead.

Glenn Beck
All right. Let me, let me tell you something that has been sticking in my mind since the Wednesday night special we had.

Oh, shoot. What is her name? Stushy. He was running for the RNC, chairmen. He's a great lawyer. Yeah. Harmony Dillon. We had Harmony Dylan on, on Wednesday. And I said, why do you think all these things are happening with Donald Trump? What, what is the goal here? You know, you really think that they want to put him in jail? And she said, yes. And I said, why?

And she said, because I think they want the right to strike out in violence, okay? Because that gives them excuse to crack down on everything.

So this intel report, this just happened in September of 2023, the one we were just talking to you about, getting teachers and, and mothers to report on any signs of domestic extremism. And what they're talking about is political dissent that you disagree with what's happening politically.

And then after that, they said, well, we're going to have to make it so political dissent is not just homeland security, it's a medical health crisis. Okay.

So declare your neighbor insane. Basically, this just happened in September 2023, just a few months ago.

And they immediately, unlike the, you know, the Biden bucks thing, where they're trying to hide it and everything else they're trying to hide, they immediately folded in this court case, settled out of court, and then gave AFL, all of the documents.

Why would they do that?

Why would they do that?

I think because they want violence on the streets.

I think they want you so upset. And so, and then the Biden box goes along with it. They're hiding all of that, even if they were doing nothing.

When you're redacting every word of every document except to this is you won't let anyone look into what the, what you're doing as a federal government in getting people registered to vote.

What does that, what does that lead you to believe?

That it's all on the up and up or that it's something nefarious.

They are discrediting the election by not releasing this.

So when, you know, when you say, I don't trust the election, yes, that's what they want.

Because the only way to get a color revolution is to have somebody who is elected that, that they can say is a dictator. And B, it was faked. It was a, it was a rigged election.

They want you to doubt this election so much. They also are pushing knives into our eyes every single day. They need you to rise up.

The other thing that they're doing, so they have color revolution, but they've also sold us bound and chained to our foes.

Right now, there is, I'm looking into a story about the water here in Idaho, and there's water fights all the time here in Idaho. We're in high desert. Okay? And so the farmers, this is miles and miles and miles of farmland all been cut off with the water.

And the farmers are just going to go out.

Okay.

There are things going on, and that might be totally legit. An old argument. I don't know yet, but we're looking into it.

But it also could be part of this whole thing of shutting our farmland down. Shutting our farmers down.

What does that do? If you don't have ranchers, you no longer have control of feeding yourself.

And that then pushes us into the hands of our foes who are selling their farm goods to us. We become dependent on someone else. That's never a good idea.

There's something else that we told you about a year and a half or two years ago, and I want to play cut.

I think it's cut one.

This is two years ago, we exposed the chinese government for purchasing farmland suspiciously close to american military bases. So this is what we told you two years ago. Wait for the update. Go ahead. Foreign entities are gobbling up us land at record numbers. As of 2020, 37.6 million acres of us farm and ranch land were held under foreign ownership, 37 million.

They doubled down recently buying land in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. Their purchases hit 40% growth rate in just 2020. So what's going on there?

One chinese government linked group bought farmland near the Great Forks Air Force base in North Dakota.

How are we allowing this? I mean, forget about the air Force base. A former member of the Chinese Red army bought the land near Laughlin Air Force base here in Texas.

I got to tell you, I am so embarrassed to be a Texan right now. Where is our governor?

Are senate and house? I'll tell you where they are. There are majority Republicans who are not conservatives. They are all in on this kind of stuff. Where is Ron Desantis? He should ban Chinese from buying any more land.

This is really dangerous in Texas. It's a sensitive military base. And they also have, that's what we told you two years ago.

So let me show you the map, if you happen to be watching blaze tv, let me show you the map of all of the farmland that is now owned by the Chinese.

And look how close they are to major strategic bases.

Fort Irwin, Camp Pendleton, it's right there. You look at Dugway proving ground in Utah. Hill Air Force Base. Also it's right up against it. Grand Forks Air Force base right up next to it. Whiteman Air Force Base. Fort Leonard Wood Fort.

Is it caviar? What is that in Texas? Fort McDill, or I shouldn't say Ford. McDill Air Force base in Tampa. In between the farmland that they own, between MacDill Air Force Base and the Space Force base and the launching grounds is enormous. Fort Liberty in north. Is that north or south? I think that's North Carolina.

It's everywhere.

What the hell are we doing?

Why would we allow this to happen from one of our biggest foes?

We no longer look at China the way we used to. Well, there is one family that does, the Biden administration, and I should be fair, the Mitch McConnell family also looks at China fondly.

Why is this being allowed to happen?

Do you think that's an investment for China alone? You think that's what that is?

Because I don't.

I don't.

We are being packaged.

We are bringing in, you know, all of the rapes of the children that have been happening. There's three stories today on three children that are around twelve years old, twelve to 14, that were raped by illegals.

Did you know that? We have, and I'm going to do a special on this next week. We have. The most dangerous gang in Venezuela has now come across our border and is everywhere in our cities.

And this gang is not just a gang. This is, this is MS 13.

You know how bad that is?

But directed by the government of Venezuela. This is a gang that was developed by the president of Venezuela to destabilize neighborhoods, areas or foreign countries.

And they're on, they're flashing red on the rapes.

They're coming in here and they are destabilizing us.

Seems to me that everything that this administration is doing is either selling us off for parts, cashing in on, you can't spend the amount of money that we have spent just in the last three years. You can't be $2 trillion over budget every year. And somebody every, seems like every week somebody in some part of the administration is like, you know what? We're going to give you another $25 billion for Ukraine, the most corrupt country in the world, and we're sending billions of dollars over and nobody's watching that money. Do you think there's a chance that any of that is going to, I don't know, nefarious NGo's. Do you think any of that money is going to, oh, I don't know, families that can get rich?

Do you think any of that money is being used against us or going to the elites of the world?

Of course it is. Of course it is.

Who's getting rich off of this? They are taking your money and the money that you have for your children and your children's money through taxes for the rest of their lives.

They're just spending it. All this is redistribution of wealth, but not in the good way.

Not going to the poor, it's going to the elites.

We have one election before us and I've always hated, because I've always mocked. That's the most important election of your lifetime. Yeah, yeah, I hear that all the time.

This one is, this one is, is possibly the end of America as we know it. You can't be planning secret police and then have that administration win and have them win the Senate and the House. You, you can't do that. You can have a free country with secret police.

By the way, r1, quick thing, did you see that? YouTube just changed some more rules.

YouTube just said, you know, for certain firearms, you know, accessories, automatic firearms, we're not going to, we're going to put an age limit on those things and, and we're going to suppress some of those. You know what, you know what, how Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, responded to that? He said, yeah, well, that change was in response to advocacy from my office.

So are we still just allowing the government just to go in and tell these companies and threaten these companies that if you don't do this, this will happen to you?

More in a minute.

First, our sponsor this f hour is mypillow. At the end of a long day, there is nothing better than lying down and recharging your batteries for a few hours, you know, because we need to recharge them. Our future robot overlords are coming, and they're going to demand that we work hard for them.

All you have to do is get a mypillow. I mean, it is really amazing to me.

My new podcast series, the Beck Story. This is the backstory on history, episode three of the History podcast. The Beck story comes out tomorrow.

This whole thing is basically tomorrow's episode is what we're talking about right now.

We're talking about when our First Amendment freedoms went away, when we had people spying on Americans. This has all been done before by Woodrow Wilson. Even sending and receiving email was subject to approval of the post office.

Every, everything that was a sign of protest was punishable by law. American spies blanketed the nation. They were your neighbors reporting to the Justice Department, carrying out vigilante justice on their neighbors. The federal government instructed people to go into your neighbor's mailbox if you suspected something and go through their mail and report it to the government.

It was horrible. Horrible. And it's happened before in America. And thank God we stopped it, we thought. But it, all it did was the progressive movement morphed in the 1920s. You couldn't get elected if you were a progressive. And so they started calling themselves liberals.

It was a cult of expertise.

And we will show you in this series, it's an eight part series of the Beck story on how these experts, how this was a cult within progressivism, and it still is, driving the left wing quest for control. They don't listen to you.

They don't even really care about you, honestly. Your cattle, your sheep, they are the experts. They're the elites. They know better than you do. Don't miss episode one and two of the Beck story, available right now. And look for episode three tomorrow, wherever you get your podcast. That's tomorrow. The Beck story, available right now. Also, it is if you're a blaze tv subscriber, it's just in with the Glenn Beck podcasts. Look for it there. It has a special thumbnail, the Glenn Beck program.

I want to talk to you a little bit about funding these anti american, anti Israel college protests. They're disgusting. I think they're terrifying.

But you know who's helping George Soros fund these college occupation occupations?

You.

Every time you use your credit card, your woke credit card company uses your money to support some of these left wing groups. It's not the best thing to hear, but it doesn't have to be that way. The parallel economy is growing every day. And the coin card, spell spelled c o I g n, is America's only conservative credit card. And it gives you the freedom to support causes that match your values. Coin offers unlimited cash back rewards, world class theft and fraud protection, the ability to align your dollars with your values because coin donates to conservative causes. Rob Collins, the CEO of Coin, has been a guest on the program, and I really love what he has been doing. Learn more and apply for a coin card. C o I G N. It's coign.com blaze. That's coin.com blaze. This is the Glenn Beck program.

So yesterday I was speaking, speaking to a group of 20 somethings that are part of our college history program at the American Journey Experience. Every summer we bring in about 50 students from around the country, and we spend at least a week with them, teaching them from original documents and how to be able to defend yourself on what you believe and use legitimate, credible sources. But, you know, how do you find the truth? Today I was talking to them and they're in their last couple of days, and I said, you know, how can I help you? And they said, that's what we want to know. How can we help America? What do we do as 20 somethings? I should have said, well, I want you to listen tomorrow to Charlie Kirk because he's on, he has a new book called right wing revolution, and it is all about what can you do? What do we do?

And it's really good and very positive. Charlie Kirk joins us in 60 seconds.

Charlie Kirk, who was a kid when I was on at Fox and kind of grew up watching me and watching the show and now has become one of the most powerful people on the right in the United States of America. He has done more than, I think, almost anybody that I know, especially at his age.

I don't mean to make him sound like a kid. He's make me feel old. He's.

How old are you now? 55? Charlie. I'm getting older.

Charlie Kirk
I'm 30, way too old.

And you remain a teacher of mine, Glenn, and you really were one of the first voices that made sense to me, and you would question the status quo, and you were the voice of the Tea party movement where I got my start, and I'd listen to you on television, on Fox and local radio in Chicago. So God bless you. It's still surreal to be able to go on your show. It's a full circle, so God bless you.

Glenn Beck
Thank you. Well, I am thrilled with your success, Charlie, and the things that you're doing. You have a new book out which I think is so perfect. Somebody asked me yesterday if you could do it all over again. Is there something that you wish you would have focused on instead of what you did. And I said only one thing, and that is practical solutions, God solutions, changing your life, cleaning up your life, doing these things. But I just, I focused on the things that politically we should do where that's not the answer. And this is what your book really goes right into.

Charlie Kirk
Yeah, that's exactly right. And so when we decided to write this book, we obviously diagnosed what the problem is. But that's only about 10% of the book because that's really been done comprehensively, as you know. Glenn, what is the woke, where does it come from? Marxism, nihilism, postmodernism, deconstructionism? So there's a little bit of that. But 90% of the book is about action, action, action. And that's my life. That's what I've been done for twelve years. We run turning Point USA, turning point action. We're making a big difference with younger people. I get all the time. And I know you know this, Glenn, people at tea party meetings or at local republican meetings where they come up to you asking for a selfie, Glenn, I'm so worried about the future of America. What can I do? And I get that question all the time. And I was just kind of tired of telling the cliche, well, you know, run for office, pal. And I said, what we really need is a comprehensive whole of life strategy that involves every part of our being, of how we're going to restore a virtuous republic. So the hypothesis we have in this book is that the Constitution is collapsing. The republic, small r republican form of government, is disintegrating. And it goes back to the quote from James Madison, where he says that the constitution was written holy for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the people of any other. And it might have been John Adams. I get them interchanged. However, the point is that the quote was right there near the american founding, which is that if you are no longer a moral or religious people, then you can really not sustain a small r republican form of government.

Glenn Beck
So that's really where we need to start.

And that's because you can't, you can't manage yourself.

And so there's not enough laws that we could pass to manage individuals. You have to have personal responsibility to be able to have freedom. You know, there's, I would say it even goes back to Adam Smith with, you know, where he comes up with the invisible hand of the market. If you are somebody who, a society that just is embracing violent pornography, that's exactly what the system will give you. And we have to be under self control enough to say, yes, I know that is an option, but it is. It's. It's devastating to not only me, my soul, my relationship, my future relationships, my children and my country. So, no.

Charlie Kirk
Yes. And how often do we say we want self government to be restored? But are we a people that is currently capable of self government? Are we a people where we know our neighbors and we've done the work to build strong communities? And we talk about in the book things that you can actually actively do that you might not always think about. One is a very radical idea, Glenn, which is try to restore the Sabbath back as a core piece of your life. We argue in the book that when America logged off and there was very lower television, lower radio consumption habits, and hopefully today would be less social media and honestly, less business transactions, America was a more decent country because you're left with. With less distractions. You spend more time with your family, you spend more time with your children. You spend more time with your neighbors. Now, that might not seem like a political issue. Oh, you know, for six days you shall work. On the 7th day you shall rest. It does say it repeatedly in the scriptures, but it's actually one of the most political things when you think about it. Because if you are not willing to sanctify time and give one day to the divine, well, then you're nothing more than a very rich servant or slave of the state or your corporate master. And I'm not saying that the government has to mandate anything, but through this national revival that we're calling for in this book, why don't we try to get back to this idea of a national day of rest? And by the way, the founding fathers did it.

We did it for over 150 years in this country. And that's just one idea of many different things. Secondly, we talked about, Glenn, the need to learn, you might say what they say, an informed population is a threat to the great Recession. There is that. We have never had access to more information and yet less people accessing that information in the history of the species. Right now, I'm calling you on a smart, isn't it? On my smartphone, we have every lecture podcast imaginable free of charge. You can listen to the Glenn Beck show. You can listen to my podcast. You can listen to Jordan Peterson. You can listen to Christopher Ruffo, James Lindsay. You can listen to all the legends free of charge. And yet people are making the decisions to not do that. And so people say, what can I do? What can I do? You have to spend time learning about old things. We have an entire chapter in this book talking about if it has lasted more than a couple hundred years, it probably has lasted for a couple hundred years for a good reason. And so to spend time nurturing your mind and your soul and your being, slowing down your life and understanding that the path forward, very well, you might understand the path forward by knowing what came before you. And a lot of this is not revolutionary stuff, as the title would suggest, but actually kind of is revolutionary in the time that we're in. And think about it. We are told that if anything is old, it is misogynistic, colonialistic, outdated, backwards, and racist.

We are told that if you are not constantly looking at your phone all the time, then you are not being as productive as you need to. We have an entire chapter of this book about what I consider to be the actual existential crisis of the west. And it's not climate change, it's not environmentalism, it's not systemic racism, it's the collapsing fertility rates in the west. And we go after. Why is that happening? Where did this come from? And how can we reverse it where we are now, below replacement levels? Because we believe having is a gift from the Lord.

Glenn Beck
What's your theory on why it collapsed?

Charlie Kirk
Well, I think there's a couple reasons. The first and foremost is that on university and college campuses, it is presented that having children is a burden. That's number one. Number two, we have told a generation of young women to instead prioritize family formation, to go try and become a CEO of a shoe company. And we go through the numbers in this book. There are millions, almost ten to 12 million early 30, late 30 young women who are unmarried in this country. And that is a bad statistic across the board. And again, I'm all for people, you know, I'm all for liberty. So if you want to be an entrepreneur, you want to pursue your dreams, so be it. But it comes with a price. It comes with a consequence. And then we also talk about in the book, the assault on men, is that some of the solutions are a masculine spirit in the west. Men being men again, and being unafraid to ask a girl out on a date of being protectors of women. Do you know that less than half of Gen Z men, when they take a young girl on the date, pay for the date? I think that alone is a number worth thinking about.

Let's think about the greatest generation. What percentage of the greatest generation would pay for the meal when they took a woman out to date in the 1940s had to be, probably had to.

Glenn Beck
Be 95 to 100.

Charlie Kirk
I totally agree. And you might, again, some people might think that's a silly observation. I think that that's very telling, that we went from a country where men would take the. They would be assertive, that they would take the initiative. Of course, they understood that their role was to protect women and to have children and to provide for the family of this false promise of cultural egalitarianism, which is a lie from secularism. So then finally, on the fertility crisis part is, I think this is really important, that there's an economic component to it. And, you know, I'm not a marxist. I'm not one to blame materialism for all of our problems. However, the number one reason that married couples give for why they don't have more children is that it's too expensive. And we talk about in the book that cheap money, federal reserve policies of creating money out of thin air, which is the ultimate big government project. The ultimate big government project is giving a monopoly of money to the Federal Reserve, has resulted in families that want to have more children giving up and surrendering and saying, we don't want to have kids. In the book we talk about, it's a fire alarm during COVID You would think when a bunch of people are not going to work, they're locked up in their homes, that the birth rate would skyrocket nine months later. It's kind of like that, oh, you have a blackout in New York City, all of a sudden you're going to see a baby woman nine months. Right? In fact, we have seen the opposite, Glenn, and this is what was so eye opening to me.

And Dennis Prager deserves credit for leading me towards this. Truth is that having children is not automatic.

The act of having children is somewhat automatic, but children is a value. You must value reproduction. And mating said differently, that if you have the technology to interfere with being able to have children, such as birth control, people will use that and they'll say, we don't want to have children anymore. And so we go into great detail. We think that is the great existential crisis facing the west and the species, our inability to reproduce and our rehabilitation to honestly replicate ourselves, which we think is a much bigger issue than climate change. Systemic rating, the more trans nonsense as they're pushing right now.

Glenn Beck
So I have to tell you, Charlie, the two things that you just said, that if I were on the left, I like, I would say he's talking about the replacement theory. He's shoveling that garbage, that conspiracy theory, replacement theory. And I would also say that you now just are advocating for the of all birth control.

Charlie Kirk
Well, not advocating for the end of all birth control any means, but I was just saying that when it comes, when it comes again, I'm a liberty guy. So you make the decisions and use your agency as you see fit. But let's tackle that one first. I'm not even criticizing birth control. I'm making an observation that when people have birth control, that they will not necessarily then choose to still have children. And because it was an automatic assumption built in for thousands of years, having children is not a value. You just do it. It is part of life. And because as modernity progressed and we had antibiotics and we had modern medicine and surgery and we had fever reducers, we saw population rates increase. And that was a good thing. So we just figured as such, okay, population is just going to keep on growing and we're going to overpopulate the earth. And, you know, the great reset guys, they've been saying, oh, we have so many people, the numbers actually show the opposite. So it's not necessarily even a criticism of birth control per se. It's just that when people have it available, they very might say, yep, I don't want to have kids. I might want to have the pleasure in the act of having children as long as I don't have to have children myself. The second part, as far as the replacement, this is not a racial thing. In fact, if you look at the birth rates of black America, they're some of the lowest. I want all different races and backgrounds to increase how much children they're having.

And it's fascinating, Glenn, if you look at the bell curve of who's actually having more than two kids in this country, it is the super poor and the super rich, the middle class are the ones that are opting out of having lots of children. And so what that tells me is that having a lot of children is a luxury benefit for people that have a bunch of money. And it also is the most cherished possession of people that do not have material possessions. Isn't that incredible? So the people that have nothing or very little, and they might be on welfare or poverty having children, that is their treasure. That is their prize. And the people that have a ton of money, millions of dollars a year, having children because they have all the stuff, it really means nothing. As you well know, Glenn, having more toys doesn't do anything. That having, having children actually is the ultimate beauty. And I see this all the time amongst people that have a lot of money and have a lot of success. They have tons of planes and tons of homes, and they say, let's go have a couple more kids because that actually gives you satisfaction and meaning and purpose. The people who are opting out of having children are the ones earning 70 or $80,000 a year. It's fascinating data that we talk about in the book.

Glenn Beck
Okay, coming up, we're going to continue our conversation with Charlie Kirk. Also, I want to get an update from Stu here in about 60 seconds on Supreme Court decisions to find out if anything came out. It looks like a lot of stuff came out but nothing of real importance. I think they're saving that for next week so they can get out of town before people go into their streets and try to murder all of them. But maybe that's just me. Back with Charlie Kirk in just a second. Let me tell you about relief factor sleep. Last night I couldn't sleep and my wife came in and it was like, I don't know, midnight. And I had been tossing and turning and she said, did you take your relief after sleep? And I said, no, no, I haven't.

But let me get a quick update on the Supreme Court rulings that just came out. Anything of importance?

Stu
We got five of them. The biggest one probably that we've talked about the most is the domestic violence gun restriction that was up against the court so hard, it's a tough one, but was not tough for the court, though. They say eight to one was the vote. Only Clarence Thomas dissenting. The domestic violence law, you know, restricting people who are under restraining order.

That law stays.

They say that is controversial. I think that's a tough line.

Glenn Beck
I think that's a really, it's a really tough one because I don't want to take away anybody's right to have a gun. But I mean, if you have a restraining order and you've got some, you know, some problems, it always happens where, you know, the woman is like, I mean, he's beating me up and he's threatening me and he's got a gun, and then we can't do anything about it and they end up dead. But I hate taking rights away from anybody because it can be so abused by the system, et cetera, et cetera.

Charlie Kirk is with us now. Hi, Charlie.

Thank you for joining us.

Charlie Kirk
Absolutely. Thank you.

Glenn Beck
We're talking about your new book, right wing revolution, and you're not talking about a revolution in the streets. You're talking about a revolution inside each of us. And this is something that you and I have gone over a couple of times.

I believe that the constitution has already collapsed. It's still, the framework is still there. It can still be saved. But we don't know the, we don't know the Declaration of Independence. We don't know the constitution. And so many people no longer believe even in the Bill of Rights.

And the way to, the way to fix that is to fix ourselves first so we can live under those fewer and fewer laws.

But there is a push to have a national religion or even to throw out the constitution and declaration and say it's just no longer valid because we can't live that way until we become really good people.

You're not advocating for any of that, correct? I mean, we've talked about this a minute ago.

Charlie Kirk
No, of course, no. Our north star is the declaration and the constitution and the promises and the intern, the eternal truths that undergird them. And we go into some detail in the book. Why should that be the North Star? So if we have a break, we could talk about that in a second. But yes, great. That is correct.

Glenn Beck
What a pro man.

Charlie Kirk. Beck returns with us in just a second. The name of his book is right wing revolution available everywhere right now. Glenn Beck.

So I want to talk to you about Berna. This is a non lethal alternative to safeguarding your home that will send potential threats running in the opposite direction. I have to tell you, I just then. I'd like to hear Charlie's opinion on this. I think they are pushing and pushing and pushing.

Color revolution requires an election and then requires riots in the streets.

And I think that's what the left is hoping for and pushing for. And you might find yourself in a situation where you need to protect and defend yourself, even just to escape.

But you don't want to have a gun necessarily, because you don't want to shoot to kill.

You need that gun when you need to kill. But is there any other way? Yes.

Something that you can keep in your car, in your glove box? My wife carries one. I think everybody should have a burna, pack it in your check luggage because it's legal in all 50 states. No background check required. All age groups over 18 can use it. And it packs a punch non lethal. It'll launch tear gas, whatever, up to 60 yards. Berna.com byrna.com glenn do it now.

Glenn Beck
Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.

We're talking to Charlie Kirk about his new book, right wing Revolution. And it is the first book that I've seen that is really, truly practical advice for the individual. We all have to understand that our actions do make a difference in our society. We may feel like, you know, we're part of 300 million people. What I do doesn't matter. Yes, it does.

Yes, it does.

And Charlie has recognized this in his new book, right wing Revolution. And Charlie, you are, I mean, you know, look, you're 30. You're talking to the youth of America, and you make a big deal out of porn and say this. And kids, young people are just, they grew up with it now and it's so destructive. And you made a suggestion in your book, and before it could even be released, twelve states have already done it.

Charlie Kirk
Yes. And I want to be very clear. I'm not moralizing here. I mean, I've struggled with the toxin and the poison of pornography, you know, being a young man in the digital era. And so this is not all hand preach years. Yes. And it's so ubiquitous and it's such a cancer and honestly needs to be talked about more. Men to, men need to talk about it more because it's a huge issue. And so my heart here is to try to create a better society and help people. I call it digital fentanyl. And I know that is very, it's an aggressive term, but I think it has destroyed as many lives if not more than some drugs that we have entire law enforcement agencies dedicated towards.

Glenn Beck
And it is, it lights up the same centers of your brain as, like, heroin. So it is a drug. It is.

Charlie Kirk
That's right. And so the debate then rages as well. Don't you have a right then to be able to access pornography at age 16? First of all, I think the minor thing, no question, and by the way, that's just been what we've seen in these states, is that the major porn trafficker, porn hub, they don't like the fact that you have to now use age verification in these twelve states that have now effectively, through the back door, banned pornography. Idaho, Montana, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Indiana, Kentucky, believe it or not, Virginia and North Carolina, just through age verification laws. But I think it's very important that we make the distinction between liberty and licentiousness. And liberty, as the founders properly understood it, which was the classical definition of liberty, is about the higher purposes of human life, doing what humans ought to do, giving people the agency and the ability, without government interference, for you to be able to live a purposeful and deep and beautiful life. Licentiousness, which also was talked about at great length by the founding fathers, was the opposite of that. It was about engaging in the lower parts of our humanity, ones that actually make us less free over a period of time. So I am very careful, Glenn, when I talk about government bans over things, I am very cautious about that because I don't trust the government. However, this is something where I talk about it needs to be done on a state by state basis.

But if we are consistent and we believe that, for example, cocaine and heroin and the heavy drugs should be regulated or should be prohibited, well, then we must also take a thorough examination about the digital drug that right now, almost 98% of young men under the age of 21 are dealing with, are watching or being damaged by this digital fentanyl. And so again, I don't talk about it from a preachy perspective. My heart is for people to be free of that. Ultimately, I believe that comes through Jesus Christ, who sets us free from our sins. But that kind of revolutionary spirit is about talking about this third rail issue, saying that if porn consumption habits went down in the west and in America, we would see marriage rates increase, we would see child fertility rates increase, I think we would see a better and more wholesome society.

Glenn Beck
Yeah, we would.

Let me talk to you a little bit about.

I'm sure you're aware of the color revolution theory that I've been talking about here for the last few years, and I think they want revolution. Now, your book is called right wing revolution, but it's a different, it's a personal revolution.

How, how, what do you say to people? I mean, if they put Trump in jail, you know, I was just talking to Harmony Dylan, and she said, I think there will be an uprising.

And she said, that's exactly what the left wants.

How, how do you talk to people about defending what we. We should be in the streets, but it should be not mostly peaceful. It should be peaceful.

We need to stand up. But how do you express this with people? With the amount of anger that I think is going to be happening?

Charlie Kirk
Boy, that is the $64,000 question, as they would say. And here's one promise. I'm going to use whatever platform the Lord has given me to instruct whatever millions of people listen to me, to stay peaceful and to lead by example, and also to remind people that federal agents and members of the FBI and members of intel agencies will be there to provoke you towards acting in ways that are not consistent with your core values. And I think we must be very clear about that, Glenn, that there will be agent provocateurs from the intel agencies, if this were to happen, to try and infiltrate and try to provoke and try to misrepresent what the America first movement and this amazing movement that Trump has, what it would do. But let's be very clear. I mean, as you say, color revolution, if they put Donald Trump in prison on July 11 and Judge Mershon does that, that will be a clear provocation. They are almost begging. They are hoping, and so why give the enemy what they want? However, Glenn, you know, this is going to take prudence, and we talk about this in the book and practical judgment, the great times of history, there really isn't a blueprint. You know, we try to distill everything in the west to engineering, to german engineering. First you put part a in the test tube, then part b, and you wait ten minutes, and then you put part c. The deep parts of life, let me say, the consequential parts of life are not, they're not able to distill them. In an engineering experiment, it takes practical judgment and prudence.

For example, the great people that built the west. I'll isolate three names, Washington, Lincoln, and Churchill. There was no engineering roadmap for how you save or build a civilization. When they were under that pressure, there was no manual, the how to manual of how to govern a country. When the Nazis are firebombing downtown London or when, you know, your country is at war with itself against the confederacy. That is why we must be steeped in eternal wisdom to be able to deal with these questions, because I don't know how to, how to navigate that, Glenn. All I know is that I'm going to read and listen to as much wise and deep stuff before that, that we, us, you and I together, can lead our audience in proper righteous and virtuous counteractivity. But my goodness, if they put Donald Trump in a prison cell on July 11, we have to do our job, people peaceful. Because, I mean, look there.

Glenn Beck
Yeah, I tell you, you know that.

I know that. I know that. But I will tell you this, Charlie. I think if they put him in jail and the american people stand up righteously and peacefully in all instances, you're going to see another wave of support for Donald Trump. Because I think they've, over, their arrogance is their achilles heel, and they've overplayed this hand so far.

And, I mean, we're seeing it. The more they persecute him, him, the more popular he becomes.

Can I ask you this, Charlie, because I know you talk a lot with President Trump, and you two are close, and does he, you know, when I hear him say things like, you know, James Comey is really one of the best people we have, I think to myself, does he really, I mean, is he aware of how deep the deep state goes and that it's in his own party and that the problems that we have are constitutionally based, that we have to get rid of the people that don't believe in, protect and defend the constitution and play by the rules.

Do you think he gets it this time?

Charlie Kirk
Absolutely. I think that part of that is just, you know, showmanship, and you have to just dismiss it as. And I can say that I've had several deep and profound discussions with him about what he wants to do to counter the administrative state.

Look, securing the border, I think, is one of the first immediate things he can do. But he can do that in 60 to 90 days. This is not that tough. Okay.

The big fight, the fight that will determine the future of our civilization is the following. What is the form and the structure of government that we will live under? That is going to be the question of the second Trump term. What is the form and the structure of government? Will it be representative with co equal branches and separation of powers and checks and balances? Or will it be this Leviathan fourth branch of government, administrative state, the council of experts that govern by decree and fiat, who are unelected unknown and have unchecked power over the american people. And we talk about this briefly in our book, in the political section because it's very briefly a political book. We talk about, though, the executive orders that President Trump can sign to fire millions of employees in the federal branch of government, what he can do to actually use his executive authority to re center the country and rechart us back to that constitutional intent. And Glenn, you have done heroes work on this topic, but one of the reasons why we are living under the problems we're living under, why the FBI is able to raid grandma's homes, why the Department of Justice is going after this whistleblower at the Texas Children's Hospital where he's trying to stop child abuse and the people doing the abusing are called heroes is because there is no check and balance on this portion of government the founders never designed and they never intended. It's, as you well know, you've detailed it wonderfully.

It's an outgrowth of the progressive era of Wilson, of FDR, of LBJ, and it has grown into the sovereign in this country. And that is what this election really is a stress test of. And I say that with great heaviness, and I don't like saying it because the people should be the sovereign. However, the sovereignty has now been given or has been taken into this administrative state and this fourth branch of government, November, we have an opportunity to send a message that we, the people, are actually the sovereign and that the deep state, or whatever you want to call it, that they no longer have that sort of super authority over our life.

Glenn Beck
Correct.

Charlie Kirk
I believe the president understands this. This because he's lived it.

Glenn Beck
Yeah. And hopefully he will have the support of Congress and the Senate because we cannot keep ruling through executive orders. We swing too far one way or another. This one, he's got to have the support of Congress.

He's got to have the Senate and the House. Otherwise, you know, somebody else will come in and just change it again. We have to decide which way are we going once and for all. Charlie, thank you so much. I appreciate it and godspeed on all of the work that you do. I don't honestly know how you do it, and especially you're 30 years old and you are extraordinarily wise. Thank you so much.

Charlie Kirk
God bless you, Glenn. You've been a great friend. Thanks so much. And people can check out the book right wing revolution at 45 books.com. thanks so much.

This week we have really focused on the way the government is turning against the system, the people, and they are turning the system into a police state and how they are. It's affecting everything.

It goes right along with the podcast that is coming out tomorrow.

It's a new podcast series that it's taken us a year to research and put this thing together. There are eight episodes and I really would like you to hear it this week. It's all about the police state under Woodrow Wilson. And when you see what the experts did to our country under Woodrow Wilson, you will recognize the same patterns today. That's what the Beck story is all about. It is this season. It's all about experts and how the progressive experts have changed us and, and got us to doubt ourself. And instead just listen to these experts as they just go for more and more control.

Some of the reviews on Spotify are great.

Let's see here. This is very eye opening as it tied everything together as it relates to the issues of today.

Episode. Episode number two is so important, should be made into a documentary. These are just audio documentaries, each one. Again, it took a year to write and I think you're really going to, you will understand what they're doing and why they're doing it by looking at the pattern. I'm telling you, episode, I think it's five is all about the Supreme Court.

You will understand the guy who went to shoot Kavanaugh. You will understand where that comes from. You'll understand.

You may not know the name of who leaked it, but you will have a very good idea of what position that person was in when they leaked the overturning of Roe versus Wade and why that happen. You're going to learn stuff that you've just never. I'm learning stuff I never knew. The Beck story, it comes out again tomorrow. It's episode three.

Wherever you get your podcasts, it's just in the Glenn Beck feed. But you can go to Glenn Beck at your Apple podcast and just look for. It comes out on Saturdays. It is the Beck story Beck program.

Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

Oh, you're gonna love this. It's a hundred years before the reign of the galactic empire. The galaxy is at peace, thanks partly to the Jedi order. But someone is killing Jedi.

The show opens with an assassin who's openly challenging Jedi master Indara to attack her. As the Jedi live by a code of defensive combat, Indara is not taking the bait. But when the assassin attacks, she's able to kill Endara, but not before she's able to recognize the now unmasked assassin. Could it be one of the lesbian women from the lesbian witch coven?

Yes.

Who didn't see that coming? Oh, my. They say this is the worst Star wars product of all time in any category.

And Disney sticking by it. Nerd Ronick joins us. Nerd Ronnie joins us in just a couple of seconds. Hang on, Preborn.

You'll remember what I said two years ago when Roe versus Wade was overturned, that the left was going to fight harder than ever on the abortion issue after losing that battle. Well, they have. And, in fact, abortion numbers have gone up since then, not down. And it is the abortion pill, and it is doing its murderous work in perhaps, you know, the bathroom of a young girl.

Karen has clinics all over the country in the highest abortion rate areas, and they have story after story that they have told me about young girls coming in with the baby dead, and they don't know what to do with it. And they're like, can you help? I mean, it's a horror story.

Listen, every day, Preborn sponsors free ultrasounds for women, as well as providing help for up to two years after the baby is born. These women generally feel completely alone. About 60, 65% of them don't want to have an abortion, but they don't know what else to do.

This is where your compassion and your gift comes in. $28 is just the beginning that sponsors one ultrasound, and the chance chances double that the moms that don't want to have an abortion but feel pressured, the chances double she'll pick life. And then when Preborn says, we'll be there. Baby clothes, books, advice, postnatal care, whatever you need. We're there for up to two years. That's what saves lives, both mom and the child. Hit the key word baby. After you hit, hit pound 250 and say the keyword baby. Pound 250. Say the key word baby and donate if you can@preborn.com. beck sponsored by Preborn.

The one and only Gary Beechler is on nerd. Rotic is what he is known as. And he has been hysterical on the new Star wars series from Disney called the acolyte.

I haven't seen it, but I have heard about it, and I have heard my friends talking about Gary and his conversations on it. Disney is actually blaming him for the loss of credibility on that new space thriller of the space lesbian witches.

And YouTube has actually dinged him and is giving him strikes because he's a hate monger, because he doesn't like the lesbian witches in space.

Gary, you're here to answer for yourself, brother. What's happening?

Gary Beechler
I'm here to answer for my sins against Disney. Thank you for having me on, Glenn.

Glenn Beck
Yeah.

Gary Beechler
And that is happening to, it's, it's not, it's random, but it's happening to a lot of youtubers and commentators. And I'm not sure if you're aware, the star Amandla Stenberg yesterday released a diss track against Star wars fans, and she is copyright claiming and dinging everybody on YouTube as well for her blatant attack on the Star wars fandom, which is always, you know, just a great strategy. That's, oh, by the way, never worked.

Glenn Beck
Yeah, I know. It's really great. Look, I'm a star of this new show from, you know, just this legacy that have been loved for 50 years. And I'm a big Star wars fan. But all the Star wars fans, they really suck a lot. They really, they're crazy. They, they don't know, you know, talent when they see it. They don't know a good storyline. Line. Yeah. That's the way to attract those, those, those loyal viewers. Every single time I saw the Rotten Tomatoes, the experts tell us that it's absolutely fantastic. 84%.

The average audience score is 14.

Gary Beechler
That's a bit high.

Glenn Beck
Yeah.

Gary Beechler
So tell.

Glenn Beck
Tell us the story first. What is the story?

Gary Beechler
Oh, the story of the acolyte is, as you said, there is a coven of lesbian space witches who magically conceived identical twins without a father through a power of, not the Force, the thread, by the way, somebody new threat called Darth Povich, because the twins don't look anything like mom. They don't have horns, and they were split up at. At the age of, like, eight or nine, and they haven't seen each other for 16 years. Yet they have identical haircuts.

Glenn Beck
Really?

What are the odds of the haircut thing?

Really? That's crazy.

Gary Beechler
Well, you know, a good hairstylist keeps her secrets, so obviously she is telling. Yeah, either one, that they're going to the same one.

Glenn Beck
But so before we get into more of the lesbian space, which thing? Which I think America and the world's been crying out for for a very long time, tell me who.

Tell me who is in charge of this disaster in space? Who did they get to to run this?

Gary Beechler
Former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein. Leslie Hedlund is the head writer on this show. Yeah, I know. It's shocking that somehow somebody connected to Harvey Weinstein can get work.

Glenn Beck
Yeah, I would think they would be in the federal witness protection program myself, but they might even turn them down.

So she found work after being the personal assistant. So the one that was lining up all of the hotel room meetings and everything else, she's now the head writer of the lesbian space witch show.

Gary Beechler
She is. I think the term is Judas goat.

I think that's. She got a job by begging for it on the red carpet when she was famously asked, what's your favorite Star wars? And she's said, all the Star wars, obviously not knowing a single thing about it.

Later, she's come out and claimed that she does, and she's written this entire story that not only passed the Bechdel test, it passes any DeI requirement with flying colors, for lack of a better description, but go ahead. So ultimately, it's the story, Glenn.

What Disney loves to do is conflate whatever happens on Twitter and any kind of complaints with, like, real criticisms of this show. And ultimately, despite all the obvious, quote unquote, diversity, which is just meant to exclude, well, white men, let's be real. And it's just a bad story that destroys the lore. And that's what Star wars fans are mad about. It goes back to the past, and it undercuts Anakin, his entire redemptive arc, the specialness of Anakin and the prophecy.

And every time they release another minute of Disney Star Wars, I can't even call it Star wars. It's Disney Star wars on D. It destroys more lore. And that's what the fans are upset about. The thing is, this has been going on for years, Glenn. This is. You can. You can take it all the way back to the Force Awakens and it seems to come to a head on this show for some reason, when I think it probably could have come to a head five other times. Six other times.

Glenn Beck
But why this one?

I mean, are they just. I mean, have they just been like, you know what? We've tried subtly to kill this thing. Let's just finally kill it, right? They.

Gary Beechler
They found a way to kill something again.

It's. It's pretty amazing.

I would argue that the Obi Wan Kenobi show was much worse as far as destroying lore. Obi Wan was supposed to. His sole purpose was to watch Luke, and they had a show where he takes off on Luke twice, follows around a little baby princess Leia, who never mentions meeting him as a kid, and fights Darth Vader twice. So it really shouldn't surprise anybody. But I guess this show is equated.

Oh, go on.

Glenn Beck
No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We have a delay, and I forget. I'm so excited to talk to you about this.

I never thought I would be in a position of defending meta chlorians, but this one kind of throws all of that out, right?

Gary Beechler
It kind of does. I personally am not a fan of midichlorians and never hate it, but.

Glenn Beck
Right.

Gary Beechler
Absolutely hate it. But, like, I guess Disney Star. Disney Star wars has proven things can always get worse. And the biggest victory comes with the prequels. Like, the prequels are now looked at much more fondly than they were before. Thanks to every bit of Disney Star Wars, Lucasfilm is created.

But with this show in particular, it's just hit the zeitgeist because I would equate it to the marvels from last year. It was just so predictably bad, and then it was. And then it still beat our x are very lowered expectations of how bad it would be. And it's a show if you see it, it's contradictory. It, like, you have characters contradicting each other. None of it actually makes any sense in for storytelling wise, you spend your first two episodes establishing a character, then you go into a flashback for an entire episode that really doesn't tell you anything new. And then the last episode was 27 minutes long without previously on in credits. And nothing happens. Absolutely nothing happens. Oh, and by the way, Glenn, it cost $180 million to produce.

Glenn Beck
Oh, my gosh.

What. What is. What has happened to. To Disney? I mean, besides all of the, you know, Dei crap, they just. The greatest storytelling company ever cannot seem to tell a story anymore.

Gary Beechler
No, they are creative bankruptcy personified now. And they were on the top when Bob Iger decided to buy a bunch of franchises and everybody was calling him this massive genius when he just went on a shopping spree and never bothered looking into what it takes to cultivate these franchises and keep them around. What it took to keep them around for decades, you know, it's not being talked about as much, but they have a doctor who show that they are now in charge of running along with acolyte, and they're both.

Charlie Kirk
Both.

Gary Beechler
It's a race to the bottom with both of these.

Glenn Beck
Oh, I love Doctor who. And there's. So do I. There's.

When did Disney buy into Doctor? Oh, how did the b. I hate the BBC. But how did the BBC even let that happen?

Gary Beechler
Well, they're about to cancel it because the first female Doctor, played by Jodie Whitaker, by the way, wasn't a hit like they suspected.

Glenn Beck
And no, no, what a surprise.

Gary Beechler
Yeah, what a shock. So they decided to bring back Russell T. Davies, who had brought the show back in 2005, and it was extremely good and popular, and it's just proof you can't go home again. And how much has changed in entertainment. Glenn Post 2016, you have the guy who originally brought it back, made it a worldwide sensation, making some of the worst Doctor who now. And of course, it's filled with. With things like pronouns. And we had, it's not even the first, like, male kiss, you know, gay kiss in Doctor who, but they, they gave this one to the Doctor and made it more prominent with the first black gay doctor. And that's. They're in this trap now. Instead of giving the fans what they want and just making good entertainment, they have to abide, you know, and the BBC started this much earlier on, back in 2012, the diversity and inclusion initiative, which is all the DEI stuff, and it prevents them from telling a good story. They have so many rules on themselves. So with the corporatism, to go back to Disney with the corporatism, they really can't take chances anymore.

And this even goes beyond woke entertainment. They just need to have this built in audience to spend money on anything. And in my opinion, overspend. And what makes things insane is they paid so much money for this built in audience that they immediately decide to piss off, not only with their storytelling, they come out and gaslight the fandom with a term that's a real term called fan baiting, which is to start controversies online. So people are talking about their show. And again, I haven't seen an example of this ever working, but they've been doing it now for seven or eight years.

Glenn Beck
We're talking to Gary Beechler. Hang on just a second. He's nerd Roddick online. And we're talking about the new Star wars series, the Acolyte, and Disney and Hollywood in general. Where is it going? We'll continue our conversation here in just a second. 1st let me tell you about the international fellowship of Christians and Jews.

One of the things that I learned from a woman who saved Jews from the Holocaust.

We were in Auschwitz together.

And she told me, you know, the people who are righteous, that saved people from the Holocaust, they didn't suddenly become righteous. They just didn't go over the cliff with the rest of humanity. And I thought it was so bizarre at the time and kind of nice that you don't have to be a superhero. You just, just, you just have to remember the things that are true.

And here we are. We are living in an era where truth is almost forgotten, where you can stand up now and openly say, river to the sea, death to the Jews and people, I guess, are cool with it. Don't go over the cliff with everybody else.

It is so important. I can't imagine being a jew today. Can't imagine it.

I don't know if you saw the rape of that young girl in France where they just hunted her.

We've got to stand with our jewish friends. We have to stand for the things that we believe in. We're asking you this month to sign a pledge as Christians, which will be delivered to the president of Israel and show that Christians in America not only stand in solidarity, but we're speaking up as well, that we will not let this happen again, not on our watch.

You have allies and friends.

This is just one more opportunity for us as Americans and Christians to be on the right side of history. Sign the pledge today. Just go to support ifcj.org, that's supportivecj.org, and take a stand today.

10 seconds. Station id so we're talking to Gary Buechler about nerd rotic, and he is nerd rotic online. We're talking about the new Disney show.

They admitted that they had a secret gay agenda. And I really don't care. I mean, I really don't care.

But God, stop preaching to us and stop trying to make it look like the whole universe is, you know, lesbian space witches, because it just ain't. It's just not then. And, you know, I used to think that George Lucas was the biggest problem to Star wars because he would always introduce things like Jar Jar Binks. You'd be like, oh, jeez, but at least he cared about the story. At least the story of the Force was consistent and it built on each other.

Not anymore.

Gary Beechler
No, not anymore. This was a basic story of good versus evil. And it doesn't work in the modern nihilist times that we're in where, oh, it's Gray and the Jedi are bad. George was a genius. George is a. And at the top of his craft. They'll never be anything like him again.

Was he the best storyteller? No, he actually had a lot of help with the original trilogy, not much help with the prequels. But he still, when he's putting in half the effort, he's better than everybody in Hollywood. And he's looking much better nowadays, too, unfortunately, with Nelson Pelts. And because he's an old man, right. He's in his eighties. He doesn't want to rock the boat. He's made a lot of money off this Disney deal. A lot of money. But Disney doesn't understand Star wars, never will. And more importantly, they don't understand Star wars fans. And they actively hate them, which is kind of. I don't think they're sorry.

Glenn Beck
No, I don't think they understand anybody. I really don't. I don't think they understand their own Disney fans. You know, the children in the families. They don't understand any of it. They. I. They act as though they do hate them.

Gary Beechler
Because they do. And forgive me, this is a Glenn's fault. This is my first radio interview, so I apologize. And thanks for having me on, Glenn.

They hate the fans, and they actively hate Star wars. And they're now calling the fans racists and bigots for pointing out inconsistencies and lore like a normal fan stuff, stuff that fans have done forever and will do forever. And that's like Hollywood's having a very hard time in the social media era. We've seen the death of the movie star, and quite frankly, it's because we got to know them. And now it's based on properties, right. And they don't want to take the time to understand these properties. And you can't use the old model of, oh, well, we can just change stuff and nobody's going to care. No, a lot of people always cared. Now you're going to hear about it a lot, and you have to work. You have to figure this out or you're going down.

Glenn Beck
Gary, thank you so much for talking to us. He's one of the largest pop culture voices on YouTube and social media and the establishment Disney and everybody seems to be afraid of his voice because he's. He's just speaking the truth that we all know.

All right, let me tell you about our sponsor. It's Lear capital. Ben Franklin once referred to this country as a republic, if you can keep it.

And there's an awful lot of debate going on right now as to whether or not we can keep it or whether or not we're even a republic. I don't know. Ben Franklin, he was kind of a dumb economy.

Here's the scary thing. The people who are deliberately muddying the waters on that issue just because they believe it's a good winning political tactic, they're the same people that are in charge of our economy, and our economy is broken, and they're the same people that broke it. And now, for some reason, we keep going back to the same people and going, okay, so now what should we do? Your dollar is weakening. You have to do something soon. And I think the choice is obvious.

You have to secure the dollars that you have when things really hit the fan, and there, it's already coming undone. Your dollar has lost $0.25 for every dollar, just in inflation, in the last three years.

I want you to call Lear capital and find out about their free wealth protection guides. Get one now. 800 957 gold. 800 957 gold.

My gosh, this is just. This is fantastic. I know. You know, when you do things and you're rebels, you just. You just make so many people happy.

A pair of climate activists sprayed two private jets at an airport in the United Kingdom with orange paint.

There's a picture of somebody with a spray can painting a gulf stream orange, which was great.

Apparently, they thought it was Taylor Swift's planes. It wasn't. It wasn't. But, you know, hey, hey, the climate, you know, I mean, and Arnold Schwarzenegger just came out. This is so good. This is so good. He said that the climate change dialogue is. Is, you know, has too many obstacles, and it's. It's just.

It just needs to stop. He said, you know, that he's going to terminate.

He's going to terminate the climate change that's happening. It's so funny.

Stu
Good. You know, I don't even know if you caught this. He was in a movie called the Terminator.

Glenn Beck
No way.

Stu
Yeah, and I know what he's referencing.

Glenn Beck
Oh, my God. That is. Oh, my gosh. That is so.

Stu
Wow.

Glenn Beck
So very funny. Next week, I want to have Ezra Lavant on. He has. He has just been charged and could be jailed now for two years.

Ezra Lavant is the guy who started rebel News, which is kind of like the blaze news, the canadian version of it, if you will.

And he, he's now being investigated for running ads by a local community activist on rebel news. Billboard truck. The ads were created by a group called Canadians opposed to the occupation of our streets and campuses.

And apparently, apparently you, you cannot talk about muslim extremists in Canada.

You can't talk about what the pro Hamas gangs are doing in Toronto, you know, the real crimes there.

Instead, you can, you can certainly talk about the Islamophobia that is happening.

You know, with that, two years in prison.

We'll talk to him hopefully on Monday. We are also next week. Kind of exciting. Donald Trump is going to be debating doctor death, really, is what I'm, is what I'm calling him. He's just, he's deadly. He's walk out on stage, he'll just wipe the floor with Donald Trump. I think that's what we should start saying because we're setting expectations so low for him and so high for Donald Trump that unless it is, you know, something where, you know, it's body blow after body blow after body blow, and it's done perfectly right by Donald Trump, he'll appear to be the loser. Loser. I think that people's expectations now are just. He didn't fall asleep.

He didn't fall asleep.

Stu
I think it is a real worry, you know, because that is, that is how people look at this situation in a lot of ways. I do think, though, it's hard to. I don't know if you can blame people who are saying these things and setting these expectations, because I think at the end of the day, those expectations are set by Joe Biden when he, you know, waddles across a stage and can't get a sentence out. Like, I don't know how you hide it.

Glenn Beck
I don't. Because that's the, that, you know, look as bad as the state of the Union address actually was.

It looked good because he had, you know, he was like, pounding on the desk, you know, there's gotta stop. And he was awake and alert and he could form sentences for most of it, you know, and that is the expectation. And I think they, and I have no proof of this, but it's happened before with presidents, and you don't know about it, you know, for 20 years or 60 years in FDR's case, they juiced him up.

You know, they'll go out and they'll give him, you know, hey, is Doctor Nick around? Make him perform.

And so he looks good in, he looks better.

Stu
Right.

Glenn Beck
Than what he really is.

Stu
I think his biggest moments have not been his worst moments, which has been something that's, you know, it's been, I guess give them credit for whatever cocktail they've come up with.

Glenn Beck
Right.

Stu
I mean, you know, I don't know.

Glenn Beck
Know.

Stu
But I mean, I will say, though, I just, what I'm saying is, I don't know if you can blame, like, conservatives for pointing it out. Like, no, it's like the, the setting of expectations is a rhetorical device.

Glenn Beck
Right?

Stu
Like, you can put it out there and you can, you, you can adjust that slightly. But, like, I just think the american people see it and that's what they expect. So the fact that he exceeds those expectations, I don't know if that can be manipulated by a party's message, challenging on the other side. But it'll be interesting to watch because I honestly, he really does need, you know, Biden took this debate and kind of threw it out there. Like, I'll do this with you anywhere, anytime. And Trump was like, okay, so he's taken on a bunch of weird rules. Like, there's a bunch of strange stuff going on.

Glenn Beck
I mean, first of all, he, they're sitting down. There's no audience.

You can't interrupt one another.

I guess they're shutting Donald Trump's microphone off.

I mean, all of the things that would, would help Donald Trump have been taken off the table. And now the press is saying, I don't know why Donald Trump would do this. I mean, every, every rule is in Biden's favor. Yeah. Because he knows that when it comes to inflation, cost of living, war, everything else, you don't, he doesn't have a lot to defend here. You know what I mean? He's going to have a hard time defending it if he was crystal clear on, even on meth, you know, whatever it took, given meth, and he was just great and thought he could fly, he still would lose on the facts. And I think Donald Trump was like, all right, we'll take you. I don't care what your rules are. Fine.

Stu
Yeah, no, and he has to, he has to, have to get in the same room with Joe Biden in front of the american people is crucial for Donald Trump.

Glenn Beck
Yes.

Stu
And he has to defend stuff like the border. I mean, we've, we've talked about this for a while, going back now a couple of years, but, like, we are now finding out that hundreds of thousands of people have come in through these additional legal pathways, it's something we talked about in the air at the time to, to ease the, quote, unquote, pressure at the border.

The Biden administration went in there and said, basically, we'll fly direct into these cities and make appointments and we won't count those as people coming into the country. That's crazy. And that's happened now with hundreds of thousands of people. The numbers just came out. They're really high, as you might expect. And these aren't people that we're counting when we're talking about how many people are crossing the border illegally or coming through with asylum and all those other things that we've been complaining about. This is all additional. They just took those people that would have been at the border and flew them into Cleveland and are like, well, that solved the problem at the border. Well, no, that didn't solve the problem at the border. Um, let me ask you this, though. Going from a strategy perspective, I think this is fascinating and I don't really understand it. So maybe you do. You know, when you go into overtime of a football game, right, you have the coin toss. Coin toss. You have a choice as to what you want to do with that power. If you win the coin toss, you can either pick the end zone you're going to defend or you can pick whether you get the ball first or 2nd. Second. And you know, the only time you really want to pick when you're talking about what end, end zone to defend is if maybe super windy conditions. You can make the argument, you know, but generally speaking, you never pick that one. You pick whether you want to get the ball first or second, because that's the more important correct thing.

So with this debate, they did a coin toss, and the decision was similar here. They had a choice. Joe Biden won the coin toss. So he was given a decision to make.

Number one, you can pick which side of the stage you want to be on, left podium or right podium or which.

Glenn Beck
I mean, I, or so I could guarantee you no matter what the. Or is he picked that one.

Stu
Or you could pick whether in closing statements, you go first or you go last.

Glenn Beck
You go last, you go last.

Gary Beechler
Right.

Glenn Beck
The obvious choice here is you go last. Right.

Stu
You have the final word in front of the american people.

Glenn Beck
If you go, Donald Trump says some.

Stu
Crazy thing about Hunter Biden at the last second in his closing statement. You'd have a chance to answer it. You'd have a chance to have the final word of the american people here. What a big advantage that is. Right?

Joe Biden won the coin toss and then picked the right podium.

And now Donald Trump will be making the final statement in the debate. Do you have any concept as to why he would do that?

Glenn Beck
No. Let me, let me throw another wrinkle into this.

Joe Biden didn't make that decision.

Okay? It wasn't like they called Joe up, hey, we just want a toy cost and a toy a coin toss. And, you know, here are your choices.

This wasn't done by him. This was done by most likely a committee, committee or something.

This is not just his senility.

It's from, from the people who brought you the end of the afghani war.

Stu
I mean, you think it's incompetence?

Because my other thought was maybe they are thinking, and let me throw this out there. You got whatever drug cocktail they're pumping into this guy, he's going to be all pumped up for that 1st 45 minutes, but by the end, it's going to be a disaster.

And the last thing that they want is the final vision of this debate to be Joe Biden going.

Glenn Beck
That is, that is a possibility.

That is a possibility.

However, you know, the closing statements, if you have the last word and you know he's going to be bad, you're suspecting that he's going to be like, yeah, dad, all Donald Trump has to say for his closing statement is, look, I understand you for inflation. I understand what you're going through the gas pump. I understand what you, how you feel about your safety and the border. I understand how you feel about all these things.

You just heard him.

Is that the vigorous leader that's going to solve these problems?

I mean, there's just no way. I would never let somebody have the last word in a debate. And especially if you think he's going to be like, get died. Debatable.

Stu
Speaker one, that's an incomprehensible one. I mean, does he, you know, he thinks that highly of, like, that's my good side. I want to be on the right side.

Glenn Beck
That is a possibility.

Hookers tell me all the time, this is my best side.

I'm going to get that sex worker vote this time. I'm telling you.

Stu
That's a weird development, though. I can't, I cannot understand that at all. But, I mean, we are less than a week away from this debate. Never happens this early. This is a very, very strange situation where it's happening in June. I think it was all these rules and the dates and all these things I think were initially designed for Trump to say no, to say, I'm going to make these rules this request, so ridiculous. He'll be the guy who said I wanted the debate.

Glenn Beck
He'll be. The guy says no, absolutely. So that way he didn't have to debate later.

Stu
Yep.

Glenn Beck
Because I offered a debate, he wouldn't do it. And most people wouldn't have remembered that it was in June and everything else now. So Donald Trump had no way, nowhere to go but to say yes. And I think he's eager. I think he can't wait.

I mean, the chance to sit in front of Joe Biden, you know, the only problem is, I wish it was, I wish it was actually fair. We would have a drug test beforehand, you know, and, and these guys would actually talk about things instead of just pounding on each other because Donald Trump would win.

Anyone would win. Against this guy's record, anyone would win.

Stu
Yeah. And there was a report from, I think it was Maggie Haberman from the New York Times, who, again, is a left wing journalist. So when you can say maybe, maybe this isn't accurate, but she does seem to have a lot of sources inside the Trump camp. And her point was interesting and I think hopeful. If you are someone who wants to see Joe Biden no longer be president, which was, Trump has told confidants that he regretted cutting Biden off a lot in the first debate in 2020. And we pointed that out at the time that, like, you needed to give.

Glenn Beck
Biden, let him hang himself.

Stu
Right. You needed to give him that, that space, and he didn't because he was trying to be aggressive and trying to cut him off and say you're lying about this and which, you know, he's going to have to do at times. But you also got to give Biden the room to look horrible and to look like he, you know, all the things that we know he does on a daily basis. The american people need to see that. And he regretted that from the 2020 debate. If that, if that report is true, it's good. I think he's being thoughtful about strategy here, here, which is really important. I mean, this is a really important day.

Glenn Beck
I think he is. I mean, you know, Donald Trump, he knows television and, you know, he just knows it. All right, let me tell you about Patriot mobile. Do you know, teacher told me that every time a Patriot mobile phone rings, all of the blue dye falls out of some leftist hair someplace in the world. Isn't that great?

The previous content identified as a rant. You're welcome, or we're sorry, the Glenn Beck program.

We'll be right back.

It's so funny. I keep. I can't. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The way to get rid of, you know, pollution is just. We have to start talking about it in a new way. And he says, we want to terminate pollution.

He says, that's the message. We should get out there, Glenn. And he's so right.

Stu
There's a movie he was in called the Terminator. Oh, wait.

Glenn Beck
Yeah.

Stu
And the Terminator, too.

Glenn Beck
Wow.

We're good to. I'll be back to terminate Volusia.

Stu
He said that in the movie. He said, I'll be back.

Glenn Beck
So.

Stu
So that's like he's applying his, what.

Glenn Beck
He'S known for towards me. My gosh. Cause, wow. It's fun. Oh, it's so much fun.

Stu
He's great.

Glenn Beck
Yeah.

I hate to, I hate to leave you on that note, you know, on a Friday, going into your weekend.

But then again, it's just so funny.

Stu
Yeah.

Glenn Beck
Because that's a lot.

Stu
It's time to terminate the work week.

Glenn Beck
It'd be even more funny if you had done a movie called the Terminator. Oh, yeah. It doesn't make any sense when I just say it.
